I've been very critical of many other teams and strategies. While I'm far from done, With some pretty extensive research, this is my current team. Tell me what you think!

B: C.Cornes, B.Goddard, T.Lockyer, A.Raines, J.Drummond, R.Houlihan,

Reserves: S.Hill, J. Petrenko

C: M.Mcveigh, C.Knights, B. Gibbs, B.Schammer, P.Hasleby, D.Kerr

Reserves: D. Rich, M.Robinson

R: Cox, Hille

Reserves: Currie, Meeson

F: Didak, Headland, Alwyn Davy, Lucas, J.Riewoldt, Skipworth, Higgins

Reserves: M Brown (WCE), Gumbleton.

Forward line is very short at this point. Considering downgrading cox and didak, and using the money up forward. Still have money left on cap at the minute too

firstly... ur one defender short...

also downgrade hille, didak, kerr

and get a much better forward line!

u can get other top youngsters like travis boak for kerr

dubs$men

i disagree with  dreamteamking above.. i would keep hill and didak... Kerr, Mcviegh, Shammer are also semi risky moves for your centreline.. i would find a rookie that will get games and have them as an scoring centre..  i would downgrade one of the above to a scroing rookie then up grade another to a Gun (corr, swan, etc).. bit iffy about Headland (up and down) and Davey (coming back from injury).. but you have to take risks to be in  the top 20.. nice team

tezmacan

mcveigh, schammer, headland, davey wont b great this year

jack riewoldt will b a bumpy ride and if u picked him of his first nab game ur an idiot

currie is injured meeson isnt the go

u shud start s hill and have another 86 k on ur bench or even better freo rookie pearce

lucas is far to frail and i would rather see ziebel in and gain some money

a little tip is colin sylvia will be great this year

This is a terrible team.

You have it right in the backline and rucks, but you've missed the point completely in the centres and forwards.

"C: M.Mcveigh, C.Knights, B. Gibbs, B.Schammer, P.Hasleby, D.Kerr

Reserves: D. Rich, M.Robinson"

With the exception of possibly Gibbs, not one of those players deserves to be in your team come finals, requiring at least five trades to fix (obv ignoring bench, who will require write-down trades as well).

Similarly...

"F: Didak, Headland, Alwyn Davy, Lucas, J.Riewoldt, Skipworth, Higgins

Reserves: M Brown (WCE), Gumbleton. "

Didak is the only player who belongs in a top-100 team come finals time, and the money end of the season.  Another six trades, plus bench.

You've got no hope, and haven't thought this out.

I'll even grant you one of McVeigh / Kerr / Knights / Higgins as becoming a big gun this year, and that is still a ton of trades required.

Never play DT hoping for improvement from old hacks.  Headland, Riewoldt and Kerr are embarassing choices, and taking out Didak and Hille, both of whom will be required players this year, is throwing good money after bad.

Finally, it's pretty clear you favour the Essendon boys.  So, a bit of home truth:  Lucas is gone, he's not worth it at 86K;  Gumbo hasn't come on this season yet, consider Neagle; Davey cannot be chosen at any price; McVeigh is injury prone and there are better options at his price, but he may be worth the risk.  That said, Skipworth is a lock.
