im an avid doggies supporter and i have a lot of time for shaun higgins. all pre season i said on this exact website and to other mates, not worth the risk with injuries. sure to be sure, he's gone for not only the rd 6 clash yesterday against collingwood but i hear whispers he'll be out till west coast in rd 9. risk v reward is a big thing is SC but with guys like higgins and adcock, it's just a suicide mission

You've said alot of things on this website ... and calling "i told you so" on some1 every1 agrees is an injury risk doesnt mean much? ;)

hmm kinda does, just justifies my gut feeling of not going with him   ;)

At the moment there just whispers. So your just talking showere. Obviously jealous you dont have him. As far as i know he played the entire game against freo and came up sore after game, and dodgies didnt want to risk him against the pies. Since there was a league bye last round it still hasnt affected me. And as far as i know he is ranked 3rd in averages in the forwards. If ? he is injured i will then make a judgement on wether he was a good pick or not, not becuase you say so  >:(

Mate if your onna go saying shower like you have heard he will be out till round 9 please list your source... Now im not saying that you are lying... It's just annoying when someone makes a big call like that without backing it up...

It's just what I heard around the club on the weekend, he defiantly won't play this weekend

I don't see it as a failed pick.  IF you had a good team structure at the beginning, you could have easily sideways traded him to a premium like Chapman/Jroo, which many in the top 1000 have done.

Others people I know have persisted with him longer.  It is still round 6, it is still unclear whether the higgins selection was a fail or success.

Okay will have to wait and see on injury news.... Im ranked 126 overall so i dont mind downgrading him to darling to make some cash to upgrade mids and backs...

ando_10,

This is the way I see it.  The plan was always

1. Have him as a keeper and average 100

2. The moment he shows the slightest chance of niggles/missing weeks/etc, PROFIT and UPGRADE him ASAP

So, really, a lot of Higgins owners should have kind of pre-empted this and sideways traded him last round.  Personally, I am not going to take the risk because he has a history, so I will be upgrading him.

As for Adcock, I will be doing exactly the same the moment he shows any signs.
