Higgins will only miss the Syd game.

I'm not so sure about this.. As I said in a recent forum topic, I talked to a couple of people at the doggies v collingwood game and they seemed to think it was a little worse than first thought. Either way Higgins is a risk of injury and the Chappy upgrade is a pretty solid investment (unless he goes back to Paul Chapstrings)

How much cash do you have? I'd try straight upgrading him to someone. It feels like a waste to double trade him in from chappy..most double trades should be reserved for upgrading rookies to prems.

yeah ive basically got no cash. Im starting to think against it. Read a few articles, seems he could play this week but they will most likely go against it. Still thinking trading duigan down will be the best, but yeah i may give higgs another chance

Its definitiely a toughie! Im not sure which way im going to go quite yet. I do have 22 trades left, which is probably the reason why i was considering it

If I trade this week, Duigan to Hibberd & Higgins to Chapman, then it will leave me with around 50 grand left over. This then pretty much guarantees me the ability next week to downgrade maybe libba, maybe andy otten, and upgrade swallow to scott pendlebury.

Starting to like the idea more looking at the possibility of Bringing in chappy and pendles for the next 2 weeks!
hmmmm. so many decisions and timing when it comes to upgrading and downgrading!

Still a chance Higgins may play..  but yeah not a bad deal there.  Am thinking of the same thing myself.  Keep an eye on Port changes because if Jacobs comes in this week, he may be a more viable long term option than hibs.

Yeah will definiately wait till friday to pull the trigger. And yes jacobs also on the radar, but hoping i can squeeze him into the mids the week after multi positional wise. Higgins plays and it takes all the pressure off!

Yeah im the same. Thinking get rid of swallow next week albeit maybe a week early, but approaching his bye so i can be on board the pendles train :)

I had Chappy last year and he won me heaps of games.  Higgins has made you 60k (from memory) and Chappy has come down 40k so its a 100k turn around plus what you get from Duigan.  I'm in a similar position and missing 2 weeks with groin soreness isn't a good sign in anyone's book.  If he doesn't play this week, I'm on Chappy.

Lake - unlikely. He isn't fit, and might not get back to the player he used to be all year. Not for at least 6 weeks anyway.
Bob - unlikely. i predicted he would go well, but it's too late to bring him in.
Hill - not a premium, so nope.

One major curveball is Ryan Hargrave. Give him 3 weeks, and he will be back to 2009 form, i guarantee it. He's playing VFL this week, so should be in for round 9 i'd say. Jump on at about round 12.
