what the hell am i meant to do with this bloke? i suffered early rounds from injury/bye and now hes pulling these pathetic numbers and showing no signs of life? do i cut my losses at a whopping 54k? seriously who even drops that much in one week!? cant really afford to collect his sub par scores and allow him to cost me league matches (not going for overall but its nice to keep the average up) because hes pulling rookie scores at a premium price? straight swap for enright is looking good atm

Very unlucky mate. I was looking to him as an upgrade target. If I were you I'd cut my lOsses and bring in adcock

i think its hte only ratinal choice, his break even is a whopping 211 or so, he will drop another 50k next round and possibly bottom out at close to 150k down, (hopefully) before he finds form again - if he finds form again..

Lets just hope thats the case for us that dont have him.  But If i was in your shoes, I wouldn't cop all that bleeding money and low scores..

+1
gonna chalk it up to an unlucky pick and rid myself of him before he literally hits 250 and i can get nothing for him. dont want everyone to jump on board when he is 250 though and then he starts pulling big 100s lol double negative

Chopps

trade him out and if he looks good bring him back if he is gonna lose an extra 100 k

he started the season coming back from hip/knee/shoulder surgery was always gonna be slow starting

C-Dogg

geez thats gotta hurt, will keep close tabs on him but...

now im leaning towards keeping him and praying to god that he comes good eventually! this is doing my head in its all i think about

Most backmen are losing value, with the exception of Adcock, I'd keep him, mostly everyone will want him at some stage, so you'll have to bring him back in burning another trade.

Dont worry about value, just think long term, and he will come good once he gets his fitness back up.

Dont trade

Holz

i  would definately trade there are heaps of good option out there

enright, shaw, lids, carrazoo should all average more than him in the short term, no point keeping him and watch him loose another 100k. If his form does turn around pick him up for under 300k, with a straight swap from a guy like heppel.

I see no real downside in using 2 trades to get an extra premium

lake has only had one standout season though? fresh off an injury, you'd think maybe he's a one hit wonder...

i would only get him in if he proves himself with a string of good games, i would rather pay 30-40k more if he was guaranteed to peform than get him when he hits rock bottom price and possibly could stay there.

added a poll coz i cant make up my mind

I think Lake is the most overrated "premium" back in the whole competition...

Averaged 99.7 according to fanfooty player page, but I thought it was 103...

Anyway, that's his highest average compared to his 2009 average of 81 and previous to that averages in the 70s and below.

He might have had one good year, but with the different style this year with backs scoring generally less, I don't think Lake will return to his 100 average, and might even return back to his simple 80 average.

Not sure why everyone is sooo keen on Lake.

He only averaged 69 in his last 7 games last year... including the finals matches he played in.
