So it's round 6, I'm sitting 19,945 overall and still chasing overall ranking. I can't get out-ranked to my best mate... In our previous 2 years Dream Teaming I have beat him for overall and been 5-0 in our Match ups..

He's now sitting 8k something and beat me once already this year..

To catch up on rankings, whilst everyone sits back and milks that extra $5-10k out of their cash cows I'm trading hard, to get these premos in early and catch up on the opposition. I've used 6 and might use another 1-2 this week.

I'll probably sit 2 rounds after this without trading... and as long as I'm not trading right through the middle of the season shouldn't get too burnt.

Trading hard and early... Good idea or a bad idea?

Got 72K in the bank and thinking of ways to get Sammy Mitchell in.

Thoughts?

im sitting around 7000 in the ranking and have used 6 trades so far over the next 6 rounds i will be double trading every round bar 1 round and that will be 1 trade, so 11 trades used. I plan to have made 17 trades by than and have basically a fully upgraded team bar 1 or 2 guys like heppel, knights and curnow. I might even do a double trade round 13-14 to get rid of one of those guys and be left with 5 trades for the last 9ish rounds.

go for it, its easier to make up spots now then it will be later. im not sure i would be trying to get mitchell, but hey each to there own.

getting as set as early as possible is a definite advantage provided those u bring in dont go down...

bundyboy

too much too early Holz...  you will definately want more than 5 trades for last 9 rounds!!!!!

Ziplock

maybe, maybe not. I think maybe is far more probable though. Think injuries, players like chappy, grimes and higgins, you always have to have trades up the sleeve for guys like that. More trades for finals as well if you care for league at all :P

i would be happy with that many trades, i guess that's because i typically get very lucky with injuries, i think i only used 4 trades last season for injury.

Well, for an overall ranking of 7000, trading hard atm seems the only way to go.

Windigo

Trade yes. Stupid & hasty/quick cash trades no.

Andrew

I'll be down to 14 trades and $95k in 2 rounds time, with only 4 upgrades needed (but quality filling 7th spots in midfield and defence until those upgrades).

yeah as long as you dont do stupid moves like foley to ward or krak to dids you should be fine. Krak beter average 100 from now on or he will have brought my whole team down.
