I already got L Thompson, and have 238k in the bank (giving $509,000 to spend), are there any upgrade targets who are low at the moment in defence?

Current backline (a bit of this and a bit of that...)

Deledio, Gibbs, Goddard, Grimes, Toy, Heppell, Broughton (Lower, Duigan, L Thompson)

Ideas/thoughts? This will be on many people's minds this week, I think, so, on this note, are there any possible downgrade targets for those who already have Thompson?

Was looking for an upgrade really, but I just had a look at all the post-match breakevens supplied by M0nty and there isn't much on offer. H Shaw is tempting to pick up after the bye, or B Lake might be a pick up in a couple of weeks, his break even is over 200 and surely his form will return.

Yeah i here Jacobs had a pretty good run with one of the SANFL reserve teams last week ;D

Ypu could also try Buckley who played his 3rd game today also a smoky look at Hutchens from GC.

Hutchins was soundly beaten everywhere by Hille today, but if he gets a regular game could be good. I don't get rookies unless they've played at least two matches, so I won't be trading him in yet. Maybe a downgrade for Toy or similar later on. Keep the ideas coming!

Shaw is looking good so far, he's in TOP form.

thats the same backline that i have. heath shaw is playing really good footy for under 450 grand. but having a bye this week doesnt help. unless sweat on it for a week. Carlton play st. kilda not playing great footy. Would hope be could get near his b/e

Can't agree with trading Buckley in. Way too risky as he could be out of the team as early as Pie's next game

Not considering Buckley. Shaw is the favourite. Gilbee is also looking good once his breakeven evens out!

Who do i downgrade Duigan to if i already have L.Thompson and Hibberd?

How far away is Jacobs from Port? or Puopolo from Hawks? Anyone else i've missed out on?
