huge SC news. krak is back in the pies team this week to face the doggies!
i think with dick playing a more traditional forward pocket role look for krakouer to roam up field this weekend against the dogs and take the role of beams as a high half forward.
unlucky for all those who traded him out  :o

i knew there was a reason to keep him in!

hopefully makes me more cash before the chappy upgrade!

Surely most would have waited until the teams were named today, but for the fools who didn't, their loss.

I'm still tossing up between trading krakouer to j.roo but I think I'll save my 120k and keep krak who has a similar (and very low) BE to j.roo. I'm not going to play krakouer this week, I'm going to take Darling's 100 instead (To be safe). I wish I had Darling starting on the field instead of Tapscott. That way I wouldn't cop Tappy's 50 & I'd get to play krakouer

Just to clarify this means that now that Krak is named on the 4 man bench then, barring any unforeseen injuries/accidents between now and the game, he will absolutely play even as the sub?

I'm just curious because I'm unaware of how much flexibility teams have once they lock in that 4 man bench.

:)

swedishhmafia

he will play, no point naming the guy on friday and then dropping him late on

nathan11

yeah he will be in the team, sub comes from the 22 named

tferrier18

Clubs can always have late withdraws but krak won't be one

supercoachheroes

gunna be funny if hes sub!

tferrier18

I hope he is (since I'm benching him).

But I also hope Yarran isn't the sub for blues. There's nobody new coming into the blues' side this week and they might want to ease him in after his hammy cramp. Having said that, they need him on the field from the get go to win that match, so he probably won't be. Enright cleaned up as a running HB at the SCG a few rounds ago in atrocious weather.
I'm not comparing yarran to enright, just saying that HB's can score well against them there.

Yaztech it is.

I've got ZERO cover for him with Higgin's out and the Hawks/Geelong/Freo bye.

I can't believe I'm saying it but I wouldn't even care if he's the sub. I'd rather the 20 points over a 0 :P

Ps. If this isn't a PERFECT example of 'don't trade/make decisions until the 11th hour' then nothing is :)

for me, it probably would have not changed the outcome.  Jroo, is severely underpriced, I would have went the upgrade route anyway.

Without the donut, he is like averaging 91, which at 340-350k, is extremely appealing as a 7th forward for the end of the season.

i will be looking to upgrade curnow as well, well before he reaches his potential.

MontyJnr

should i still do the krak to jroo trade? i have cover in all spots and were looking to offload otten to luke thompson

North Melbournes Finest

I left him on the bench, am not trading him likely till next round. Get the extra 10-20k or so.

charliesheen

if you see jroo as a 7th forward, and can see him averaging between 90-95 for the year, it would be hard to make an argument against that trade.

If you don't see him maintaining that average, and think there are better 7th forward options, then don't bother.

Its really up to you.  I see the donut as an anomaly which made him severely underpriced, and see a  lot of improvement in jroo.

MontyJnr

hmm yeah just wondering if i'll have too many forwards that will rely on goals for their scoring (already got franklin, nick riewoldt and petrie). Was looking to do the classic "downgrade a rookie, upgrade another" next week to a chapman/pav type who runs through the mids, but krakouer's dropping last week stunted his price rise and i probably won't be able to fund it. decisions, decisions...
