See my team below. I have been down grading and cash cowing to the max and now have a shower load of cash to spank. I think my team will be unbeatable after gradual upgrades over the next 5-6 rounds. 19 trades left and 800k in the bank. Ranked 30k atm and was top 2000 last year. Is the genius or am i one pathetic loser???

Wow I've got $323k and 19 trades left doing a similar strategy and thought I could be over-doing it (I'm ranked 12000th). You picked perfectly in the ruck but lacking a premium in MIDS and FOR but obviously have the cash to get there soon. A midfielder for Conca could be first port of call, then Chapman after the bye. I'd offload Bruce as well.

Do you have your starting lineup posted?

ouch my freakin eyes dude :o

try setting out so it reads across the page...

there r no prizes for a big bank get that cash into play asap ;)

I have a similar strategy but only 400k, I like your plan but as the other poster said, get upgrading real quick!! Im interested to know how you go so keep us updated

Fenno

sorry but I think you have stuffed up you have used to many trades already you may get a solid team quickly but you are pretty much a sure thing to run out of trades and cop dougnuts towards the end of the year.
If you are going for overall position you have given everyone one far to much of a start even if you get lucky with injuries I think the best you could hope for from where you are now is top 5k.

good luck! let me know how this strategy works... im interested to find out.

it wont work, it needs to be a balance of points now and timing upgrades...

I am mainly going for the league win but i put money on the fact that I will make a strong run through the middle part of the year without having to burn trades(overall). I will have that cash to use while others are milking their cows prematurely.

Before round 3 break evens I traded palmer to curnow and foley to o'keefe. I had vickery as back up and have just traded him to mccauley. Other trades are broughton to brodie smith and f*&kin okeefe(was pissed in fiji when i chose to get him instead of libba) to polec.

Anyway as I said I won't have to milk until they have full bellies, I will MPP fyfe to the fwd line and should have enough cash to atleast have a full midfield of premiums(mybe leave curnow there for now) + chappy in the fwd line. Time will tell i guess.

Also sorry about the copy and paste of my team....couldn't be assed typing the whole team.

Yes I think this is a huge advantage of having a healthy bank balance - it allows you to get the most out of the "stock" (or players) you have. But it's definately a balance between bank and good stock. $800k balance probably over doing it, I wouldn't go above $500k.
