I'm considering trading Broughton out for Enright. I know it's a sideways trade. However, Enright has been consistent whilst Broughton has given me grief with scores that are ordinary by his lofty standards.

In all honesty, if you havent traded out Broughton by now there really isnt much point.

Only three things can happen now.

1) He will recover his scoring capacity and get back to prem status (a good thing!)

2) He will maintain the status quo, holding his value.

3) He will fall a little more before stabilising (very unlikely).

If you trade out now you solidify the 70k loss, where as if you hold on to him in the hopes he recovers (and I mean really wait and see say by rd 12 or 13 you will know for sure). What happens if you trade him out this week or next suffer the 70k hit and he recovers his value over the next three or so rounds. Freo do have some easy games coming up as well.

I said 2 weeks ago it was no or never with Broughton, and I still maintain that stance. Thats why I pulled the trigger on him 2 weeks ago before his value dropped any more. In some senses you guys are lucky he didnt play last week so his price didnt drop again, but if you didnt have the stomach for the scores we all knew he was going to pump out then you should have dropped back then, not decided to 'keep the faith' only to loose it 2 weeks later. Keeping the Faith is a long term commitement ya know lol

tyo be fair they kept the faith knowing that his position changed and that was the main resaon for his low socring, now it has come to the surface that he is also carrying an injury. I traded him out last week and i would still trade him this week or next if i had him.

i would definitely like getting rid of him and i think ive kept the faith too long. for your 3 different recoveries, there are 2 bad and 1 good. what are the chances that he will go back to his prem status after an injury even !?
i dont want him to maintain his status quo and certainly not to get worse.

i think ive made my mind up unless it clearly says somewhere that "broughton has moved back to his old role" and i do believe that enright is the right option. i only have one other geelong player in my team as well when there used to be heaps last year!

DT Junkie

keep him keep him keep him......

every expert was saying this 3 weeks ago. Put simply SPUD!

Ziplock

I traded him last week, was so happy lol.

Footy God

Ill turn him into Pendles in two weeks with a double trade :) At worst Broughton returns to an 80 average but then I still make 40 points a week with Pendles averaging 120.

wce06

Gonna have to hold him, got no moolah, and there's no downgrade targets of yet (already got Hibberd). But I'll be upgrading my rooks first.

thatguy

a herald sun article has him listed as ''indefinite''.

i dont like the sounds of that.  :-\ :-\

LF

wish freo would update their injury list so we know what is going on with him.

Same as it was Broughton --> Adcock.

I think Broughton will be fine to play in the Dockers next game as they have a bye.

However in his new role i think he is not worth it.

Ziplock

^ yep, broughts to adcock for me too.
