Are we at that stage yet where the fallens are cheap or is it a couple more weeks.

Brennan 330k
Enright 350k
add some more to the list
Ablett and hodge will be a few weeks

Windigo

No one agrees with my upgrade target.

But Hodge & Lake look good.

You'll have to wait awhile for Hodge, Bye and then a couple of mass B/E's

3-4 weeks.

JR23

stupid question... but how are lake and hodge good targets if they are scoring EXTREMELY poorly?
wouldnt you want to upgrade to someone who is gonna consistenly score well... like adcock, or pav, or chappy?

Windigo

How is this a stupid question? Then why did you even click on this thread if you thought it was stupid?

Anyway, both Lake & Hodge have had injuries over the pre-season.

It was expected that both of them will start slowly and they will drop in price. By around maybe round 8, Hodge MAY get better and then with him so cheap you get him in. You can't argue with his Dt stats in years gone by.

not to sure about hodgey......just doesnt seem right yet.... but if he does get his old form back then YES

as for lake, he's on my radar too, imagine how good he'll be with all those niggles gone.... and when he gets a bit of match fitness under his belt

I think Lake is the most overrated "premium" back in the whole competition...

Averaged 99.7 according to fanfooty player page, but I thought it was 103...

Anyway, that's his highest average compared to his 2009 average of 81 and previous to that averages in the 70s and below.

He might have had one good year, but with the different style this year with backs scoring generally less, I don't think Lake will return to his 100 average, and might even return back to his simple 80 average.

Not sure why everyone is sooo keen on Lake.

He only averaged 69 in his last 7 games last year... including the finals matches he played in.

Master Q

We'll have to wait and see about Lake won't we then.

Good point. I don't want him, I was just saying an example.

I want Hodge though.  ;)

lake was injured towards the end of the year and if the change in the game does anything to Lake it will probably do him good. Long kicks into the back line usually means the balls a little easier to mark eg. Harry Taylor in the 2nd and 3rd qrt marking the ball really well. (the commentary team also refereed to him as brain lake like).

also Scarlett racked up 101 points. i think that's the first time that's ever happened.

but i could be wrong and the injury to lake could be worse than we think i guess we will have to wait

He got 4 tons 2 years ago. I didn't look any farther than that. His form ( DT Wise) this year so far is really good. Surprising really.

Plastic Boy

Chapman is a must, I'll be bringing him in after the bye for Yarran, and Hodge will slot into my midfield in about 3-4 weeks once Curnow or Harris peak.

As for Backs, theres not much to get excited about but the same ol guys, Enright is in great form, and Lake will tank, he might not be that great a player, but he is a junk time champion.  can rack up 30 points is about 1 minute from kick to kick plays when wasting the clock
