this bloke is killing it in the first quarter but if i remember correctly, he had a great first quarter last week and ended up on 60...lets hope he keeps it up!

pistolpk

could match his last 2 totals in the first quarter.

Jukes

Has been flat for a bit but should score 120+

MC

I have him in my SC squad, and hope he kicks a bag this week to justify my selection at long last ;)

pistolpk

Awesome half, smashed it.

Only 1 of the top 10 ranked teams so far this year has Petrie. This is why people shouldn't give up after a bad start to the DT year - those who started with Petrie will generally score higher from now on than those that didn't start with him. If he continues to perform like he did in 2008 and 2009 he'll be a keeper for sure.

LF

just because they have petrie doesn`t mean they will score generally higher than people that don`t have him petrie is only one player in your dreamteam.

What a terrible call! He's playing well againgst one of the worst backlines n inexperienced midfields in the country

DT87

I know he's only one player, and he's playing against a weak team, but he's still going to make a difference this year. It may only be 10 points per round, but that adds up to 200 points over the rest of the season, which is a lot. I never said that he'll average 100+ or anything like that, just that as long as he stays fit those who have him will generally be better off than those who don't. He's averaged around 85 before which is enough for a keeper.

LF

how you structure your team and the upgrades you do the trades you do the rookies you get etc is how you are better off than the next person.
don`t dispute that he`ll probably be a keeper if he keeps his average up but i can`t see why you would say that.

yaajirobe

he was gonna be my trade to chappy if he pumped out another 60. now things are tough again :(

DT87

I agree that good trading is more important than the quality of your starting team, but missing out on the best picks of the year right from the start is pretty costly. I don't think anyone who didn't have Waters and Malceski in their starting team would have been likely to finish in the top 100 last year. Not saying Petrie will be as good as those two, but he has the potential.

LF

but petrie was a risky starting pick that is why people didn`t pick him up as was waters last year.

Windigo

He is playing on kids. Wait for next week...

They'll be playing Port next week. He should score well.  :P

No one is saying he will average over 100 this year or anything, but at his starting price it's hard to dispute that he is looking like a good pick.
