i think in SA some places are 13+ :P hes turning 13 or 12 ?? If so u could lie bout his age :P I remember my mates mum lied for us so we could go go karting :)

if you do go with laser tag than darkzone is also in perth, i think there is one in northbridge are another in the southlnds shopping centre i think around bullcreek and another one that i cant remember. Im quite abit older than 13 but its actually what i did for my 13th birthday party.

Dont know the extent of your family members or home, but i would say a Foosball, Table Tennis, or Billiards table (probs for Christmas of a big one)

will be taking him during the week to the AC/DC family jewels exhibit and on his birthday probably timezone/lazertag or darkzone.
still haven`t worked out what to get him but some good ideas from you all.
