yeah he's had an ordinary year SC wise and the suspension doesn't help..

HotTiges

right with the idea in place, who should I get to replace Curnow..

Pendlebury 539k 123avg
Mundy 533k 127
Priddis 531k 118
dal Santo 512k 114
Mitchell 493k 112
Watson etc..

Leaning towards Mundy as he would be my last docker (already have sandi/pav and lower will go soonish). But Pendlebury is also destroying teams.. Bit concerned with the magpie bye with Swan though.. could get pendles after bye?

charliesheen

imo, mundy, and then reassess things with pendlebury after the bye.

i can actually see Malthouse managing Pendlebury's TOG in the future, especially against weaker teams in the future to set them up for finals.

Epsecially if they are winning a lot of games.

HotTiges

yeah went Mundy anyways.. career best form

not rushing on the last spot in the midfield. plenty of time. defence next.

HotTiges

Ahh, why did I change Selwood as capt!! Goddam Swan!! still thrilled with Selwood's form though..

HotTiges

They are the stats I need from you, Scott Thompson!! 136 will do!

charliesheen

no probs with his calf there!

HotTiges

or Dangerfield's concussion issue..

HotTiges

2096 lost 3 leagues.. Swan cost me at least 1 match..

Lower getting subbed off annoying. Batchelor only 40 odd. Puopolo bench and gets 70. Jacobs 38 but looked ok.

Looking at 2 trades. Try and get Shaw even though it could be top dollar.. Prob downgrade Matera and upgrade Batch or Lower

charliesheen

#54
How much cash is in the bank atm?  This is what I would do, leave the defence for now, so you can get rid of dead weight, unless you think you will be struggling for cover.

Round 9

Thompson/Lower > Hibberd
Matera > Smith or Sippos

Round 10

Swallow > Pendlebury > too cheap to pass
Tapscott > Lynch

Round 11

Thompson/Lower > Enright > too cheap to pass

time for a defence upgrade after a poor showing this week.

Team as is..

Defence is
Goddard, Deledio, Gibbs, Grundy, Heppell, Lower, Thompson (Puopolo, Batchelor, Toy)
Midfield is
Swan, Judd, Mundy, Thompson, Selwood, Jacobs (Swallow, Harris, Bewick)
Rucks is
Cox, Sandi (Smith, J Tip)
Fwds is
Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, N Riewoldt, J Riewoldt, Petrie, Darlings (Tapscott, Matera, Richadson)

HotTiges

hmm, interesting trades there.

Just thought defence needed a bit of a better scorer then some of the rookies ive got..

HotTiges

if I follow your trade ideas. 12 trades at the end of round 11.. enough for later on?? They look good on paper..

charliesheen

Hmm, nah scrap that idea, think it might cause issues later on.

I would just go

Lower/Thompson > Enright

then get pendlebury the week after.

In regards to your question of Lower vs Thompson.  Both have similar averages and BE.  Lower has higher scoring potential, but also has the potential to be the scape goat and be subbed.  Thompson has better job security, but his scoring potential has dramatically decreased because he is playing a more lock down role with otten out.

So really you could go either way.  Right now I am leaning towards axing Thompson before he plays Collingwood, but I can see myself changing my mind the last minute.  I've kept both Duigan and Heppel, so I don't really need the JS of Thompson.

HotTiges

fair enough. still have to get Smith in somehow to make it happen.. possibly Swallow > Smith?? gives me an 80k more then Matera..

charliesheen

Lower/Thompson > Enright
Matera > Smith/Siposs

then

Swallow > Pendlebury
Tapscott > Lynch

Not enough funds?  A thing to note that defenders generally score pretty poorly against Gold Coast, because the goal kickers end up taking all the points from the pie.

If Enright gets 100 against GC I would be wrapped.  Saying that Lower/Thompson really has to go.
