i have a feeling a lot of people going to have chappy as captain this week.  He never got off 1st gear, the cats were clearly saving it for Collingwood.

Those with sandi (C) be well in front.

In hindsight probably should have brought mundy, followed by selwood, followed by chappy.

But who would have known.

HotTiges

so my trades of Duigan > Puopos and Ward > Thompson blew up!

this week i have Grimes out for good, have 12k and only using 1 trade..

my options are

Duffield, Grima, Rawlings, Bock, Gilbee, Murphy and anyone else under 390k!

ajjewell

I have Bock and am very suss as to whether I made the right decision, he is averaging 79 I just hope he can pick it up a bit

HotTiges

Yeah he isn't high on my list. I'd probably take Duffield over him atm lol..

ajjewell

Fair call not that it's making me feel any better bout picking Bock though lol

HotTiges

Yeah had Bock the year he lashed out at his mrs.. then he got injured.. never again!

ouch :(  thomo back to his inconsistent best!  i think the best option was actually griffin at that price range.

i am actually leaving grimes on bench, I have cover, and sticking to my plan of upgrading the mids through curnow.  was always going to trade curnow, just he has lost about 20 k now ^^ no worries though.

Enright will probably be appealing for straight swap with grimes for about 420k.  Will look to add Fisher, and Deledio to complete the backline.

HotTiges

Thompson should play this week so it won't be too bad..

had a think and came back with a couple of options..

Grimes > Grima/Rawlings/Murphy/Duffield (one of those 4 are the best options, is Pratt a regular??)

or doing 2

Curnow > Smith and Grimes > Any defender (Shaw/Adcock/Enright)

the following week Swallow > 480-500k depending on Swallow does this week..

Defence is
Goddard, Deledio, Gibbs, Grundy, GRIMES, Lower, Thompson (Puopolo, Batchelor, Toy)
Midfield is
Swan, Heppell, Harris, Thompson, Selwood, Swallow (Judd, CURNOW, Bewick)

charliesheen

I think your in a similar position to me.  If Puopolo/Batchelor is named, you don't need to upgrade the backs this week.

Upgrade Curnow to an out and out premium mid to make 5, then upgrade someone in the back to Enright for about 420k, through someone like Smith.  This is probably the last week before Mundy becomes out of reach.

You can create the mid link later with someone like Mzungu or upgrading someone in the mids to like Pav or someone.

HotTiges

so you reckon go 2 double trades for upgrading Grimes and Curnow??

charliesheen

did you decide on your plan of attack?

hope my suggestion made sense.

HotTiges

yeah looking at Grimes > Jacobs then Heppell > DEF then Curnow > Mundy/Pendles .. gives me about 60-70k.. i could look at smith next week.. what do you reckon about my idea? Jacobs, risky or Hibberd.. doesn't matter gives me Heppell in DEF till rd 24 and still getting my cheap defence premo next week with Smith's help..

charliesheen

well, im doing the jacobs trade, you have to take some calculated risks.

unless jacobs gets struck down by lightning, he should be playing soonish anyway.

within the context of your setup, it woorks out better, because you already have hibberd link and can do a lot of switching.

HotTiges

Yeah. Harris out with a hip injury hurts but Jacobs named  8) makes it easier to make a call..

Thompson named.

took the calculated risk with Puopolo last week and he is named again.

charliesheen

everything working according to plan!
