Missed the Curnow Train...

Hey guys, just got back from overseas & am shattered to realise that it looks like I've missed the Ed Curnow train...

That is unless I downgrade J.Tippett to a cheaper rookie ruck (as he looks increasingly unlikely to play anyway), & trade Atley (dud!!) to Curnow. I'm just concerned that I might miss the boat on a potential bargain priced player (if I haven't already) who could turn into a keeper (and no, I'm not saying the next barlow, but potentially a 95-100ppg player over the whole season)... Thoughts anyone??

Cheers guys. Just worried about Atley as much as missing out on Curnow - only 3-4 rounds in, but Curnow's averaging an amazing 105ppg compared to Atley's dismal 45ppg - such a massive discepancy.

Also, I see Curnow's named on the bench again, but how could he be dropped when he is obviously playing very good quality football? I really can't see Armfield or McLean or Lucas pushing ahead of him anytime soon - none of them are particularly reliable players - but the most important point is still that you would not drop a player who is performing very well.

I missed it as well (Couldn't be stuffed wasting a trade as I was hoping Conca would get the move to the midfield) so you're not alone ;). Not worth trading him in now as you've missed his intial rise, usually the most cash gain he'll get ;). He may gain you 200k more now but Atley could 150k but maybe in an extra round or two. I'd save the trade as it'll come handy later in the year when teams need to rest ;). Sub rule is killing player's fatigue even with the bye. I've only used 1 trade and that was just to bring in Tapscott. Although Curnow looks good, Lucas and McLean should come in eventually (Lucas is rated highly from what I heard last year). It is your team and if you think he'll maintain his score and become a keeper, go for it. It is your team remember ;).

Atley is annoying me atm but as a slow burner he might be primed when another is on the bubble.

Yes, you will be behind the ball from now on, but you can always make up ground through smart trading.  If your team is doing poorly overall, its not because you missed curnow, its probably just your whole team structure in general.
