I really don't know what to do with Duffield. An average of 60 is not acceptable from a premium, but i'm worried that if I trade him out he will be pushed back up the field and start scoring well again  ???

Can he regain his 2010 scoring potential or will he continue to be a 2011 DT dud ? Please help  ;)

there's a few topics on broughts + duffield already, the general consensus is that it looks like he's had a role change, although when other players come onto the field, who knows if that'll change or not.

Master Q

He's a dud. Trade him.

C-Dogg

him and greg are very interesting, but either will get back to dt form or not, but thats the big question, id trade him

Duff Man
Is this man worth keeping?
Got no money in the bank with my backline looking like this:

Gibbs
Deledio
Heppell
Duigan
Goddard
Duffield
Adcock
Bench
Otten
Lower
Stanley

I'm thinking a trade to Toy and an upgrade in the forwards from Gamble to Fyfe/other suggestions.
Thanks Guys in advance

Edit: 23 trades left

I've got the same defence, but McKernan instead of Otten. I think I'm jumping off Duffield, him & Broughton just don't seem the same and while people say "Suban's out - role will change!" Suban was out of the game pretty early on the weekend and Duff & Broughts didn't pick up. When Josh Toy from Gold Coast is sitting there guaranteed to at least go up $100k (if not outscore Duff most weeks), it's a pretty easy trade for mine. Nothing wrong with hopping off the 1 premium who's just underperforming.

Your mention of Gamble -> Fyfe sounds great, hope you ended up doing that. I'm thinking of Kraks -> Fyfe in my forwards this week too.

My best mate has Broughton and I picked Duffield. It has been very interesting to compare and both of us talking ourselves into giving them 1 more chance v North Melbourne. To think they're pulling 50s in a comfortable victory is too painful. Bring in Josh Toy and spend the money on premiums who are performing.

One thing that makes this trade that little bit easier - Freo's run home. From round 19, they play:

Hawthorn (home)
St.Kilda (away)
Carlton (home)
North Melbourne (away)
Collingwood (home)
Bulldogs (away)

Worth thinking about who your premiums play come finals time... Or even leading up to finals time when you might be gunning for a top 4 spot.
