Another option would be to go to the footy on Sundary Arvo at the G (Ade v Melb) or Etihad on Monday night (Carl V StK)

CrowsFan

I want to go to Adelaide v Melbourne!
Sadly I live in Sydney and for the second season in a row the Crows wont be playing Sydney in Sydney :'(

valkorum

Just come to Melb for the weekend CF ;)

CrowsFan

Haha can't really afford to do that, plus got uni assignments and whatnot!
Sure you'll have a great time anyway :)

valkorum

Well no-one has confirmed to go for a drink either (well the guys/gals that are 18+)

What is wrong with women these days. Tell all of your GF's if they kick up a stink when you go for a few beers with mates then you won't mow the lawn!!

I have found in my experience, if I do not hang on a mans coat tails and leave him to his own devices he comes home refreshed and loving. Tell ya bloody women to evolve already and stop burning bra's. Better still turn the tables when she wants to go shopping with her GF's.  Say "I do not want you to go shopping with your GF's spend some time with me!"(even though you secretly want her to go shopping so you change the channel 13497857248548 times in 10 mins). She will go shopping anyway regardless of what you say. But you will earn huge brownie points for caring which you can ultimately bring up next time you wanna go with the boys. BUWAHAHAHA  ;) ;D 8) :P

PS. This post will self destruct in 5 mins...you didn't hear it from me ha!

As much as I enjoyed the post MP I completely missed the point of it in this thread.

There may be a few days that I cant go out as my GF may be flying over to have a "Holiday" while I am working (just have to try and hide the credit card :P)

Sounds good - just gotta work out what days the missus is gonna come over cos I should hang out with her instead of going for beers with the lads

Sounds like a plan.

What date is that though lol Gotta tell the missus I'm unavailable haha
There you go valkz

valkorum

Ahh, that makes more sense.  I can only answer for myself :P

If the missus comes over for a few days then it is a holiday for us but I will be working during the day and wont be with the missus.  So, what I was saying that I should spend time with the missus if she flies over.  She isnt flying over now so I can go for drinks any night, any time.  I was thinking about going to the Monday night footy game at Etihad (never been to a game there)

roo boys!

If you are going to Etihad, there is a little carpark near by that is kinda hidden away that is cheap and close to the ground. If you park in one of the ones right next to/under the ground you will never get out of them, plus it's like $17. If you come off the Bolte Bridge on the Docklands exit there is a little slightly concealed driveway to the left, which sometimes has a sign up, advertising event parking or whatnot. $6 flat rate, and only about 20 metres away from the carpark that you have to pay $17 for, and it takes a lot less time to get in and out of.

Probably not going to be applicable to you, or my advice (sensibly) rendered pointless, but still, just thought I'd share that idea ;)

But it doesn't really matter for a North vs Port game, crowd congestion isn't exactly a MAJOR issue :P

valkorum

Thanks for the advice but I dont hire a car when I come to Melbourne.  I just stick my hand out and these yellow cars come and pick me up :)

really MP? So, you can't just flip her off, go out and yell back to her to make 'make me a sammich for when I get home' ?

You can - just dont expect your stuff to still be in the house when you get home.  You may find it on the front lawn.
