Alright fellas this one has got me in two minds, here is what i'm thinking

I traded out Everitt for Suban last week...and we all know how that ended. So my dilemma here is I need a replacement for Suban, I can go one of two ways...downgrade to a rookie or upgrade and not think about it again.

Upgrade: Stanley to Toy - Suban to Grimes
Downgrade: Suban to Smith or Suban to Toy...keep the cash and run.

My backline as it stands is:

Gibbs, Enright, Deledio, Bruce, Adcock, SUBAN, Heppell (Stanley, Duigan, Lower)

*Note - I have Goddard in my Midfield so when Saints have their second bye round I am moving him into the backline, swapping with Heppell. Effectively this completes my backline as long as Adcock stays a keeper this year. So if i were to get Grimes in, my backline is set.

What do you all think? Any better ideas?

$19,000 / 22 trades.

i would go stanley >>>> toy and suban >>>> grimes. grimes doing well and toy will make you some cash as he is on the bubble

id go suban to toy. defenders have been all over the place this year, so i think the saftest bet early is to jump on a kid that will make some money. gives you a few more weeks at least to pick the best defender. i dont think any of the prem defenders are going to rise in price that much that you need to jump on one now.

I would go:

1 trade:

toy and suban

or 2 trades:

Stanley to toy
Subin to Jason GRAM

Everitt was the mistake - should have had Toy in the first place. I know, coz I had Everitt to start also.

Suban was bad luck, but Grimes would be just asking for more of the same, sooner or later that back will go bang.

I think Toy is your safer option, just a shame it took 2 trades to correct Everitt.

don't forget melbourne have the bye this week

i'd think about stanley to toy, and playing duigan or lower
you can't use grimes anyway so just keep the trade incase anything happens

if you pick up grimes, your team will look exactly like 95% of the others on here.
unless you're riding right at the top of the rnakings, i'd pick someone a little different.

depending on what your cover is like you could always bypass toy and go for jacobs (port) seeing he should be back in the next couple of weeks, thereby not having to burn another trade in order to snag him later on.

This is what happens with sideways trading. Hope you learnt your lesson!!!

true... i was one click away going Bruce -> Suban.

Bruce pulled out a 100 and Suban breaks down...
Not saying that makes bruce safe though.

+1 use the money elsewhere would be my suggestion MiGZ, but if you reckon the backline is where you want to fix, Grimes is potentially a risk and i would think that a better alternative will become apparent in the lead-up to the half-way point of the season??
