Big dilemma this week!

I’m facing a big dilemma this week. I thought I’d planned well but am overstretched in my forward line. Goodes, Tapscott and Darling are out which leaves me one short up front. To make matters worse, I’ve got Krak in the forward line and if he’s dropped this week then I’m potentially facing two doughnuts. I really wanted to dump Broughton for Smith this week but if I do that and Krak isn’t named, I’m screwed (unless by some miracle Day is named for GCS). So I think my only option is to make two trades, problem is I’ve only got $20k in the kitty which is sweet flower all. Anyone got any suggestions?

My forward line is currently: Pavlich, Riewoldt, Franklin, Knights, Krakouer, Matera, Tapscott (bye), Goodes (bye), Darling (bye), Day (yet to play a game).

I’ll need to get rid of two of Krakouer, Tapscott, Goodes, Darling and Day to ensure I have a doughnut free round, although if Krakouer is named then I can elect to make one trade or dump Broughton too.

So far I've only made two trades and I'm primarily going for a league win (so copping a doughnut wouldn't be too bad) but at the same time I'm also sitting 1200th so I'm also keen to stay as high up as I can. Thoughts? Sorry for the essay!

Wouldnt happen to have any dpp f/m currently in the midfield to swap with goodes?

Unfortunately not. It's my first year of Dream Team so I'm still a bit of a noob.

Well firstly I wouldn't even consider getting rid of Tapscott, Goodes or Darling. Not for the sake of preventing a 0. In order to prevent a 0 only make a trade which wouldnt be a bad trade anyway. What you could do is trade out Day for someone like Pitt, Mckernan or Alex Johnson... And im not convinced by trading out Broughton... This might seem like a silly question, but which smith were you looking at getting in?

I'm going to have to cop a zero in the Rucks this week, not worth bringing in Zac Smith anymore imo.

Sit tight and cop a donut. It's no big deal if you're not shooting for overall.

Simple solution really - downgrade Broughton to Brodie Smith and upgrade Day.

If you have enough for Nat Fyfe he would be my pick.

Chopps

sideways day out your team that ought to fix it

Ziplock

or if you have an underperforming mid rookie you think you can drop to a dpp...

If you're ranked 1200th in your first year, you are not a noob mate.

Yeah ideally I wouldn't get rid of any of those guys, hence my dilemma. I'm pretty limited with what I can do. Brodie Smith is the one I'm considering for Broughton. I reckon it's a now or never trade though...after this round Broughton's price will drop, Smith's will rise so it won't really be worth it next week.

I wish it were that easy, I'm actually spoilt for choice. My mids are doing so well that it's looking like Libba and D Swallow will be sitting on the bench this week. Wish I could put them to use. :(

Yeah, that's good providing Krakouer is picked this week. If he's not, I'll still get a 0. If I downgraded Broughton for Smith I'd still be just $1k short of Fyfe. I'd have about $332k to spend. If I downgraded Broughton to McKernan I could afford Fyfe. Anyone else good value for that price?

Just had a thought. If (this is the biggie) Krakouer is named then I could just straight swap Day for McKernan which would solve the problem and keep Broughton in the mix (although, I'm going to bench him this week). Does anyone know if the Collingwood 22 is named before full lockout?
