How is your season going so far? Better than you thought? Terrible?

My season is going...well good, not as good as i thought with a few of my pick ups not going as well as i wanted... e.g. krak/broughton. But then i have a few which are doing better than I thought e.g. grimes/darling/heppell.
Still unsure about whether my pick up of Goodes at the start of the season was better than if i got Pavlich instead.

Really impressed with Z.Smith from GC sitting on my bench...wasnt happy with Conca, but after the weekends game, feeling much better.

Really unsure about what premiums ill be picking up...

So far I'm pretty happy with my season. Sitting around 1800.

Although Broughton, Krakouer are giving me the showeres. Would be happier if Bartel was more consistant. All my rookies are going well. To many good scoring rookies to choose from each week. Wish I could fit them all in.

So glad I traded Curnow & Brodie Smith in before their price rises. Only 2 trades made.

Looking at J. Selwood & maybe Chappy after their bye. Not worried about round 21 bye. Want as strong a team as I can get to climb the rankings. Fyfe also looks the goods at present. No other gun names are making me take notice.

even with bartel your still looking at selwood and chappy? ive only got stevie J in fwd and no Geelong in middle.. was thinking maybe monty/selwood as upg's

Only used the one trade hibberd-curnow... but like you said not many premiums are 'eye catching' at the moment.
Rookies are definitely going well....i always seem to put the wrong ones on the field!

Don't mind having 2 Geelong players in mids & forwards. If this saves me trades later all the better. Even better if you win your first round in play offs as Geelong players would not be required as you would have the week off.

You think hodge will come good? I havent been really impressed with his game so far....unlike mitchell i had him last year and was very happy with him, regretting not getting him this year.

Broughton to who? Prestia ruined my final score this week as well.... im sitting mid 3000 im pretty sure.

So far so bad for my team.
A very disappointing average of just over 2000, despite having what Ithink is a decent team.
I keep shooting myself in the foot with my team selections â€" this week I had Darling on the bench instead of Krakouer, as well as Swallow for Harris (what was I thinking) and Toy for Stanley (not much lost there).
Last week Prestia rode the pine with his 100 and previous weeks have been similar stories with the high-scoring rookies on the bench.
Hopefully a few upgrades will give my team a boost in the coming weeks.
The plan is to get a premium mid for Foley (Watson, Montagna and Mitchell are who i’m thinking) and a premium forward for Krakouer (Didak is the main man i have my eye on here, although a very cheap J Volt might be considered).
I am not going for a league win â€" my only goal is to beat one other team in my league overall. Currently I am behind by about 350 points.
Def: God, Gibbs, Lids, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Lower, Toy, Duigan, Stanley.
Mid: Swan, Boyd, Selwood, Foley, Swallow, Prestia, Harris, Heppell, Liberatore.

Disappointed i missed the curnow bus but my rookies are doing ok.

Hopefully will finish strong with a wet sail.

As for my season I'm really happy.  This is only really my second serious year at DT so you could say I'm up for a breakout season.  The two years before this season I played I barely even checked my team in the first season and last season I could only manage to take out the minor premiership.  This year, however, I'm averaging well over 2000 and I'm equal first in my league with three wins on the bounce.  I'm also my leagues highest scorer, so I'm looking pretty good.  I'm also quite pleased with my overall ranking.  It's only about 3800, but I was never going to challenge for the car.  I'm only really going for a league win and that's looking very possible early on.  There's three players in my league who always do well and I'm sticking with two of them as they are unbeaten also whilst the other one has had a shock loss already.  Below us four there's a group of about 4 that should make our top eight up.  THe rest are basically there to make numbers up tbh.

certainly looking good BM - broughton suckling the time will tell.. i have broughton but too scared to get rid of him as i know he will jump up and get 100avg...

look as if most people are going well.... for those that have had a shocking start, chin up - last year i started terribly. took alot of gambles that DIDNOT pay off. in the end though i ended up with 2 league wins and was pretty happy with my overall finish.

What does everyone want out of this year?

This year im challenging for something different.... not the car, not the league win, but a spot in a mates league. Every year they make a league that is 'invite only' and always go pretty well, last year finishing 52nd (from memory) over all. this year they are hovering around the same but aiming for top 40.

bit annoyed i missed fyfe and adcock, as i went with a more guns and rooks strategy, and i took petrie over knights for ruck flexibility which hasn't proven too great so far but my premiums are doing pretty well although i'd like bartel/deledio to be more consistent given that guys like mitchell/priddis/thompson/watson (who lots of other teams seem to have) are showing great consistency and high numbers early on

happy with my 5 premiums in the fwds strategy, with buddy/sylvia/pav rewarding me on the weekend, but am looking to get higgins in there at some stage

I have done the same with prestia... rode his sh1t scores, missed his big score, as with many others aswell, such is DT i suppose.

Higgins for who? Do you have goodes, would you get goodes?

Fyfe i had him last year, great pick up tbh though, didnt even consider him this year.
