Barlow vs Curnow. The Comparison. (DT)

People have branded Curnow the new Barlow, but is he really worthy of that title?
Let's take a look.

Preseason form

Curnow - 10 points from one game. As it is only half a game, we can pretty much ignore this.

Barlow - 94, 96, 77.

Opening 4 games

Curnow - 107,91,100,90

Barlow - (unable to find r1 score, pretty sure it was just around 110), 127,46 (lings tag),78 (jones tag), 115

The 46 and 78 came to be Barlows lowest scores for the season. Barlow then averaged over 110 points over the next 10 games, with his two lowest scores being high 90's.

What we can deduce is that is pretty early to judge whether or not curnow will be the 'new' Barlow.
He will not get a tag from an opposition team with the likes of Judd and Murphy in his side. He also has not shown the potential to smash out ridiculously high scores yet. My personal opinion is that I don't think Curnow will be able to get within 70k of Barlows peak price and will not be able to average 100 over the whole season. Barlow managed to average 109+.

Keep in mind Barlow's score of 77 was when he was tagged by Ling (all game)
