I have a midfield of..

Pendles, Swan, Krak, Ward, Libba, Irons, Harris, Heppell and Foley...

I sort of want to get Curnow in and with Irons dropped, I have 0 cover for this round...

I only have $1,000 in the bank to get anyone worthy in I need to downgrade someone... I can't go Irons > Anyone decent...

I only have 22 trades left :(

Any suggestions, I know Ward > Curnow is probably a waste, but Curnow might even make more $$$ than Ward...

i'm in the almost the same boat as you nails, i don't have enough dough to 'upgrade' Irons into Curnow ...  :'(

check the respective BEs Curnow vs Ward and that might lean you one way more than the other??

Fenno

Ward has done nothing wrong at all and I wouldn't be trading him. Everyone seems to think if you don't have Curnow your done for the year but as much as he is scoring very well his isn't nearly as good as barlow was. Save the trade it will pay off in the long run.

My main issue is... my bench is: Ward, Libba and Irons... if any of my on field 6 are late withdrawals I'll cop a doughnut, and need $ to upgrade Irons to anyone worthwhile...

Fenno

Well you will know if Swan, Pendles, Krak and Foley are playing for sure tomorrow night so really you only have Heppel and Harris to worry about when it comes to late withdrawals. So chances of copping are doughnut are pretty small.

I have irons as well and I will leave him on the bench in hope he plays or untill another worthwile rookie comes along.

Holz

i just got in ward im very happy with him at the moment, priced not much more than the rookies, averaging 80+ and has fantastic job security. Also is in probably a top 4 team so the team should go quite well for DT.

Curnow is playing well at the moment Tails, but a rookies js is never sealed in concrete. Conversely Ward will play every game for the doggies and like Holzman said, he will continue to average more than 80+. Yes Curnow might make some more money in the long run, but is it really worth trading him now? Or has the boat already sailed? It's only one rookie mate, there are plenty of rookies yet to come with mzungu, issac smith, benny jacobs etc all to come. Your 6 mids should all play this week, so i dont see the point of trading just to get an emergency for this week + making more money of curnow. When it comes to the latter part of the season, you will need some trades up your sleeve to fix your team when amost players pull out for gen soreness to get ready for finals and thats when your team has to be at its peak. Your best of saving the trade and using it in rounds 18+. At the end of the day, it comes to sticking to your own gameplan and strategies, saving trades and playing wisely, and picking/selling the correct rookies/premiums at the right time. Good luck in whatever you decide mate....

Ziplock

I have irons, and personally I'm keeping him in until hibberd or ben jacobs are named for their 3rd game.

bundyboy

no way I would get rid of ward...

your mids look fine - and doesn't look like any donuts coming your way - so hold off ! no trade necessary

yorgis

trading ward at this stage would be a waste. you have a lot of midpricers/rookies in your mids and you really want to be downgrading 1/2 and upgrading another, but they have'nt earnt enough yet. keep your eye on the B/E'S of the cheaper rookies who have played 2 games and trade them in and save cash

Nails

Yeah Ward out is a stupid idea, the more that I think about it...

This will be first friday this season I'll be home for, so can check for late withdrawals for 4/6ths of my midfield

Gun :D

Part of me says Foley has got to go, but he racked up 27-31 (forgot how many exactly) points in the 4th quarter last week and is looking good.

Thanks for the help guys, if anyone has any issues feel free to re-direct me to your issues :D
