So this was regarded as inappropriate.

Then why is it used in the promo for the football this week?

Honestly, I couldn't really care less. He owes that team for getting him back on the straight and narrow. He's just acknowledging it. I doubt it'll be a weekly thing anyway.

If it was a Gang salute, then I can understand him getting brought up for it. No reason to bring gangs into it, but this was clearly a sign to say that he's arrived in the AFL and proud of where he's come from where he's been.

I love the salute, and I cannot understand what is so bad about it. I mean come on AFL lighten up a bit.
In soccer (and yes i know its not the same thing) but they go crazy and nothing's ever said.

Between this and Jack Riewoldt's gesture the AFL has gone mad.

I thought it was the entertainment business? Sure crack down on racism and sexism as hard and fiercely as possible but let's not squeeze all the personality out of the game.

I have no problem with it.  Good for him for how he has turned his life around, and if he wishes to celebrate in this fashion then go ahead.

AFL players aren't stereotypically known for their good behaviour.  I just think people are wrapped up in so much cotton wool these days that any threat to their precious mental state they complain about it.

Is that why Didak doesn't do the pistol anymore? Someone complained because it is glorifying guns? (or just he isn't on fire?)

Just the double standards that the media has in reshowing this after it was frowned upon, in their promo, annoys me. pooh pooh

Mark Williams did a shotgun after he kicked a goal years ago. Made him one of my Favs back then but now he doesn't do it (hasn't for 2-3 years but mid 00's he did it almost every goal).

roo boys!

I wish Didak was on fire :'(

the AFL has gone from a passion filled game of Aussie Spirit to the most conservative sport in the world. Hamish Hartlett fined $2500 for quite drinks. The club itsel said quite. I  wish the bump was still alive too. And who could have a problem with Krakouer he can do as he likes he wasnt in a church he was in a passion filled sporting arena.
