Would really like to get Curnow and Dawes in before it's too late (seen both play and LOVE them at the moment).

Here are some lists of people I can get rid of for each and I would appreciate any opinions on who to ditch. Listing every possible option, even though there are some I would never dream of.

For Curnow: Atley, Pendlebury, Harris, Selwood, Boyd, Liberatore, Bewick. Also, the following but I would lose DPP: Gibbs, Deledio, Goddard, Heppell, Harvey, Pavlich, Krakouer.

For Dawes: Green, J.Riewoldt, N.Riewoldt, Franklin, Tapscott, Darling, Richardson, Matera. And again, DPPs: Harvey, Pavlich, Krakouer.

Please let me know what you think. Have already burned two trades, have $204.9k in the bank. Feel free to let me know if you think it's not worth the trade, but not just if you're one of those people who think trades are the most important thing in the world, please add some kind of reason.

Oof, I personally got Dawes and Libba last week. This week might be a bit late for Dawes but Curnow could be worth it, especially with 2 trades already burned.

Dawes will go up another 50K if lucky, or he may stay be at an average of 80 at seasons end, in which case burning another trade already for him won't have been worth it.

Curnow however is set to go up heaps, and if you think you'll have another rookie mid with seemingly low JS, or an under-performing mid-priced Mid (I had Petterd as a unique) then I'd definitely go for it.

If you do decide to go for Dawes I'd trade J Riewoldt before he absolutely plummets.

I expect Jack to absolutely stink it up against the Pies. And, in the same game, Dawes could ton it up against the Tigers.
I know you're not meant to trade a premium, but at the rate he's going, is Jack even a premium?

I agree atley to Curnow is a simple 1.
J.riewoldt for Dawes and Maybe get him back later if his form changes.
I would have said green but given they have gc this week he should score big. If he doesn't u could be in for a tough dec the following week.

On Dawes I'm not sure y every1 thinks he's gonna ave 80 by seasons end?
1- his not kicking bags of goals to score well
2- he plays in the best side by a mile and has plenty of supply.
3- always plays on 2best key def as cloke gets 1st
4- has a massive engine
5- is a great mark overhead

I'm getting him in this week

i'm not really sold on dawes. i agree he is a great pack mark ,leads and kicks very well, but what happens when dids, krak, blair, thomas and co. start kicking goals and they get less reliant on him ? they are definately not a one man forward team, they do spread the goals around

but the point is, he hasn't relied on huge goal tallies to get good scores. that is why he is such a good pick up!

I'm just slightly skeptical, although he is my favourite player and it was a sin not to have him in rd1 (somehow I was talked out of it >.>)

But as I have him in my team now, I certainly hope he averages 90+ all season

Only person in your forward line I don't like at the moment is Petrie, but I have him too and I think he can improve. You don't need Dawes, that's a great forward line!

Yeh, will probably need to get rid of Jack. But knowing my luck, he'll somehow ton up against the Pies if I do (maybe after knocking Dawes out cold in a marking contest???).

Seriously though, I personally upgraded Petrie to Dawes... Just really wasn't impressed after watching him play, and it was probably a mistake to have him considering he missed 2 of the 3 opening rounds.

i would say the biggest mistake was trading him out. I think petrie will average more than dawes from now on. I dont see how you can trade out a guy who had a good preseason and score low when his team got killed by collingwood.
