Yeh, will probably need to get rid of Jack. But knowing my luck, he'll somehow ton up against the Pies if I do (maybe after knocking Dawes out cold in a marking contest???).

Seriously though, I personally upgraded Petrie to Dawes...  Just really wasn't impressed after watching him play, and it was probably a mistake to have him considering he missed 2 of the 3 opening rounds.

i would say the biggest mistake was trading him out. I think petrie will average more than dawes from now on. I dont see how you can trade out a guy who had a good preseason and score low when his team got killed by collingwood.

You can play well against Collingwood.  Unless you're going to say Tarrant is now the best FB, or that North's midfielders are so bad that they can't pass inside forward 50 accurately to one of their KPP's.  Petrie did nothing, I was surprised when I saw that he had any possessions up to 3 quarter time.

Dawes didn't play well last week, but he got 99 after a switch of defenders in the last quarter between Cloke and Dawes.  As other people have stated, Dawes was on about 14 at half time and 99 at full time, and it's rare to see Dawes stifled so massively for a half of football.

The opposition have two choices, put their best Tall Defender onto Dawes, and let Cloke run rampant, or put the best Tall Defender onto Cloke, and let Dawes run rampant.  By Seasons end it will become pretty ambiguous as to who the better Forward is, so I'll be interested to see what opposition Coaches choose.

Did you watch the game where he kicked 7-8 goals as a forward? And that was without kicking a point from memory.

From that day i knew he was gonna be a star. Why North don't just use him as a forward is beyond me.

He has just come back from an injury-ravaged season, so give him time and he will shine.

But, the main reason I have him is for the RUC/FWD dpp with Joel Tippett. When Sandi or Cox misses a game due to a bye or injury or suspension Petrie can slot in.

I don't think Petrie is worthin having if you don't have that link.
