Resting Ruckman (Ruck Byes)

Right now I'm rolling with Cox and Ryder which is seeming to be a very effective team.  However come round 5 when WCE have a bye, and later Essendon, my two benched Ruckman M Bailey and R Campbell don't seem adequate backups as neither have played a game this Season.  Am I going to have to cop a donut, or is there an alternative?

You should have either zac smith on your bench from gc or a ruck mpp link with Petrie. You have to trade one of them to zac smith now but it's a waste.

i agree it needs to be done, it should have been like that before lockout.

I'm considering bringing in J.Tippet to act as a ruck mpp with petrie.. even though I'm going for league wins, I'm placed in a decent position atm to beat my last years ~2000 overall.

I fear it may be a wasted trade though

My ruck backups were hastily done and I completely forgot about the byes when it came to them (I kept it in mind with the backs/mids/fwds). 

So should I just cop the donuts 4 times throughout the year, or spend a trade on an improver?

You must get Smith onto your ruck bench and the sooner the better.  You, like everyone else, will cop donuts for all sorts of other reasons, so don't add to the dilemma, spend the trade, learn from it, and move on.
