We got another one this year - Jack Anthony at 192cm and 94kg but he hasnt played a game yet.  McPhee looks to be doing the role at the moment which I think is a good move and at 190cm and 90kg is big enough and strong enough to play the role.

Kepler is also playing the role really well and is looking a dangerous target up forward at 199cm and 103kg.  Then you rotate him to the ruck and the opposition has to deal with Sandilands at 211cm and 122kg.

Mayne is also dangerous and is bigger than you think at 188cm and 88kg.  He just needs to kick a bit straighter - seems to have a bit of the yips early on.

When we get the likes of Ibbo & Barlow back then we should see Pav playing more up forward and with the likes of Kepler, McPhee, Mayne & maybe Jack, there is is plenty of tall timber to take the double team away from Pav.  Then you have the small forwards to pick up the scraps at the feet of the big fellas (Balla, Walters).  You still have the likes of Fyfe, Hill, Crowley, Mundy, Palmer all rotating through the forward line as well.

any reason why anthony hasn't played yet?

This is my opinion only - I dont think he has the tank.  If you look back to pre-season he was definitely at a lower base than the rest of the team.  The current game plan means you cant have any players that cant run all day.  I am not sure that his forward pressure is also good enough.

Look at the likes of Balla & Mayne.  They are like wild dogs chasing their last meal when they chase.

I dont think Jack is in the same catergory as yet and therefore not in the team.

would it be worthwhile sending Anthony to fullback and sending Mcpharlin to FF?

NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooo

McPharlin plays his best footy in the backline.  He should not be moved from there.

I distinctly remember he kicked 4 in the first qtr in a game being moved from defence I always preferred him as a forward but that's just me

Who would you put at CHB in place of him?

Jack - he doesnt have the tank to play forward so how would that differ for the backline
Silvagni - Not strong enough to hold down CHB
Grover - Plays FB and should stay there
Faulks - Not sure about him just yet
Sibosado - Big wraps on the kid but been in the system a few years so I doubt he would be able to

No-one can replace Elvis just yet so he has to play at CHB

Pavlova's accuracy is an issue and certainly with the way he has started (1.7) in 4 games

are his bursts through the middle hurting his goal kicking?

Everyone's accuracy hasnt been good this season - even though we still managed to score over 100 points on the weekend.  Balla kicked 4.5 but you dont talk about that because he kicked 4.

Cicjose

Kepler's got the best accuracy of all forwards to have more than 5 shots on goal at 58.3%

Pavlich's is the worst at 8.3%

Of players who have had more than 5 shots only 5 players are above 50% on the year so far

Bradley
Mayne
Walters
Hill and;
Fyfe

It has cost us 1 game this year V Geelong, and im hoping they are addressing this at training so this doesn't occur regularly

I have said this many times before - STOP LOOKING AT THE NEGATIVES ALL THE TIME.  We are 3 - 1 and sitting 4th on the ladder.  We kicked over 100 points this week without Pav kicking a single goal (10 individual goal scorers).  That is a massive positive - it means we are becoming a team instead of a bunch of players relying on Pav to do everything.  Yes, Pav was dominant in the middle of the ground but he didnt have to be dominant there and in the forward line.

Mundy, Fyfe, Pitt, Ballantyne, Broughton (fantastic lock down role) & Sandi all were amongst the best players on the ground which allowed the team to finish off the great work done by Pav & Co.

Yes we could have won by a lot more if our players could have kicked straighter, but so what - we won the game.  Pav wasn't the only one with the kicking yips

Ballantyne -- 4.5
Pitt -- 0.2
Palmer - 1.2
McPhee - 1.2

Those 4 players kicked 11 out of the 19 points scored.  Pav kicked 3 points and 3 others kicked 1 point with 2 rushed behinds

McPhee, Balla and Palmer all missed very easy shots from almost directly in front.  All of Pav's shots (from memory) were long bombs on the run and/or under pressure.

Either way - we are 4th on the ladder, have one of the worst injury lists (gotta be close between us and the Crows) and yet we are still winning games.  This time last year we were also 3 - 1 and everyone was saying we were playing out of our skins.

i understand that i sound negative but Fremantle always seem to me to just get the job done without blowing teams out of the water. Don't forget Channel 7 stuffed up their coverage with 8 minutes left in the game and what happened after that....

the Roos kicked the last 4 goals of the game.

I would like Fremantle to be putting more teams to the sword

I dont watch Free to air coverage of the footy ever - I watch Foxtel (no adverts during quarters) plus I am a member and was at the game.  I thought the Roo's only kicked the last 3 goals of the game - either way, big deal we had nearly a 50 point lead and clearly switched down a gear
