How Much is a trade worth?

Assumeing you are just going for the League win...  Consider this...

If Goddards Averages 100 for 3 weeks, he stands to loose about 125-200k
If Sucklings Averages About 70 for 3 weeks, he stands to giain 70-120k

Lets say a conservative overall net gain is 200k

So it will cost you 2 trades to go Goddard - Sucking and back agian in 3-4 weeks for about 200 profit.

Is it worth it?  What is a trade worth?

What would you pay at the end of a season for a trade?  100k?  200?  50k?

Thoughts...

My trades are worth 100k+, Trading out a keeper is against my rules.  You got him in, and in many cases, he is the first player picked in DT.  There is  reason for that - he is a absolute gun, champion, god, whatever you wanna call him.

Not worth it, just when good players have a bad game or two, they pump out a massive score.  Imagine if you went through with it, and goddard averaged 120 over three weeks, even if suckling averaged 70.

Your losing score on the ground and all for a measly gain in the bank dept, (although it comes at a 2 trade cost).

Fair enough Slap

Goddards Break Even is 353!!! and will drop 80k with a score of 100 this week (all approximate).  Perhaps you would be more encouraged if i used Hepple in my example?

Just seems like an easy way to make some quck cash given the scores in the coming weeks are not important if you are only going for a league win.

where are you finding Goddards BE because i think its under 200. In DT i would say he has no chance of dropping 80k with a 100 score.

Firstly, Goddards BE is 180.

And even if you make money, your team will be losing in league matchup's AND in overall ranking by taking him out.  Unless you think that these kids will outscore Goddard.

Regardless of any defender you say, I'd say keep goddard.

Thanks Chaps - scared me off this one.

I got my BE from FF Genie as well as the predicted price drop with a score of 100.

There are no matchups from 4-6 (inclusive) and i do not care about my overall raking.  As a result i am trying to exploit his to my advantage in my league(s).

It is a smart idea.  And if you pull it off it'd be very worth it.  But come the end of year - which is very far away, and you need to trade injuries, omissions and byes..  you may need the trades.

If you have no rookies earning you money, perhaps do it.. But if you have heaps of rookie cover, which you hopefully should.  I'd suggest you should be earning enough money for upgrades anyway.

As a side note - do you think that DT should/could offer a price for a trade?

For example, its round 23 and you have copped an injury in Rnd 22, its D. Swan.  You have no trades left (coz you are a goose).  It would be nice to 'Buy one' for say 100-200k.

This would allow you to replace D.Swan with someone at least to allow you to have a team on the park.

Not sure i like it but it would be interesting.

definitely an interesting concept, but would it entice players to always trade for the new rookie cows, earn money (whilst always knowing that they can purchase trades).

The trade limit puts strategy into people's plans, I doubt it'll change - which I'd be more than happy with.

I guess the cost of a trade would have to be the Average a rookie when up the previous year to keep everyone honest.  I.e. if you wanted to keep bringing in rookies you would have to be sure he went up at least last years average for you to end up ahead.
