Pav to Dawes thoughts?

free up some cash.

my fwds: Higgins Pav Riewoldt franklin Varcoe Knights              Darling Matera Richardson

only 1 i can consider is Pav. although he is usually ultra consistent, i just fell Dawes is in for a big season.

Trade a proven premium for a mid-pricer who may or may not have his break out year??

Definitely not!

LF

do not trade your premiums out unless they have a long term injury.

yeah true.

so really only trade Varcoe (who i think will have a good year) or knights.

think i might just pass on Dawes for the min then.

That's the spirit  ;)

I agree if you desperately wanted to trade Dawes in it would be for Varcoe - but you picked him for a reason and he has been ok so I would stick to your guns...

i really really hope u had your lips firmly secured around a crack pipe when u wrote this thread because that is the only thing that could justify it.. it is absolutely ridiculous.. seriously y on earth would u drop an absolute gun in pav to a mid price kpp who put together a couple of good games when his team delivered spankings.. most decent kpp will put out good scores when their team gets huge wins like this..
Knights has had 1 game and scored almost 80 and varcoe had what 90 last week? definitely sit tight on dawes n c how he goes in more 'normal' scoring games.. if he is still playing like a prem at mid year just treat him as an upgrade target

If you truly feel like Dawes is going to have a big year, I'd go:

Franklin -> Dawes
Varcoe -> Rioli (next round because of the suspension)

I think a forward line without both buddy and cyril is more dynamic, and cyril will get the cheese this year.

There is no harm burning a few trades within the first 4 rounds, you don't really get a chance to use them bar major injuries until the rookies have elevated to where you want them to get to, which may not be until round 9-10...

But IMO, I think as Didak gets his groove on and kicks his 40-50 goals for the year, Dawes' scoring suffers.
