So I've put the big C next to Swanny and it will probably stay there (as most sane people do)...but has anybody considered Franklin for captain this week? He should kick a bag against the tigers. Given his inconsistency not many would take the risk but it could pay off. Swan will have a tougher game than the last few weeks...I'd still imagine he will score well though

thornz23

actually have given it thought hey.. swan should have carrots tagging him who is becoming a pretty good tagger. it shouldnt affect his score too much, might just knock him back to 120 :P. but buddy against the tiges/astbury should literally kick a minimum of 6. but he is so unpredictable that i just dnt think i could actually put him captain..

CrowsFan

I have put him captain, but that is in SC. Mainly because I don't have Swan haha

I'm predicting 8 or 9...so probably about 7 behinds. There's going to be plenty of marks and kicks to get there and if he's having a good day he might not give away as many free's against

He should have kicked a bag against Melbourne....but didn't.

And Adelaide as well...

Buddy's attempts at goal will come down to hit outs from ruck(Hale) rovers clearances(Sammy) then play up into the forward 50. Buddy is a brilliant key full forward and if Hawks Mids fark it up then what can he do?.

I say no to the big C on Buddy for the simple fact Hawks Mids just aren't on field 100%

I love buddy but his frees against kills him. Easily concedes 30 - 40 points a game in FA's alone not a worthy captain choice however the games where he does not concede any frees will pump out the huge large scores. Swan is my safe pick.

Sorry didn't realise this was a D/T post until after I had posted.  :P

Buddy is a good D/T captain this week he also rotates through the middle when the hawks prefer to go small ie: bateman and leave roughy 1 out. He should get amongst the goals here along with several others.

Holz

havent even looked at him at all, the only guy i have even thought about is boyd against GC. Franklin probably has about the same ceiling as swanny this week but at a much greater risk. I dont think i would ever fell safe as him as captain. Any guy who can have 8 set shots and 20+ disposals and not crack a hundred, will never captain my team.

however he will randomly crack a huge score some weeks but you never can tell when it will happen.

Chelskiman

Yeah, Buddy is a no go for me.  Great player to have in your team, but not captain material.  Swan for me or, as Holz said, Boyd v GC.

Fenno

Boyd has crossed my mind allot this week but Swanny has done nothing to suggest he won't go big again. He loves running around at the MCG and loves playing Carlton

blah128

Was always going to stick with Swan or possibly Boyd. Just wanted to see everyones thoughts on Buddy. Maybe Boyd will go hard and get 40+ touches against GC seeing as he has a rest the following weekend

buddy will prolly play at centre half forward and roam around this week, roughie at full forward

I hope so, I love watching Roughead at FF especially when he is on song.
