Before i start I just want to say that i do like the look of this bloke. But if you are looking to trade this guy in this week, here is a few things to consider before you do.

-This bloke is a bargain 280k, and is looking like a keeper, so in this respect he sees like an awesome buy for your fwd line.

- He has had a rocket start to the season. I think many of us remember a certain north melbourne player (Leigh BLOODY Harding) a couple of years back who fooled us into selecting him with 2 massive rounds at the start of the season. He ended up averaging around 80 by seasons end. I'm thinking Dawes will probably continue posting decent scores, however collingwood are yet to be tested. I doubt Dawes will be troubled this week by the carlton defence, but there are other teams out there that could hurt his dt scoring.

- Not only has he started the season well, but he actuall showed a fair bit in the pre-season, which can add a bit of confidence to your selection of him.

- A lot of people have Krakouer in there mids/fwds, as well as pendles and swan in there mids. Getting in Dawes will probably mean you cant purchase any other collingwood players in ur mids or forwards (It would be a massive risk). This means you may miss out on a cheaper Didak in a few rounds, who if he can get fully fit could potentially average more than Dawes,  and is a more proven player

Personally i'm not looking at him atm, with the only reason being my forward line doesn't have to many issues currently. (More concerned about Foley). However if I was looking to trade in the forward line, I would definately keep Dawes in consideration (and would finalise my decision in the 11th hour), but overall I really do want Didak in my squad in some point, and so for this reason I would probably would not select him.

Very well said mate.......i am thinking exactly the same as you about didak i can see him dropping down in price at about round 8 or so because of his average right now if he can be $360 he will be in my team  :)

i'm hoping to turn krakouer into didak so no probs.

very well said. i never considered dawes in my forward line for those exact reason... dids will eventually be in there regardless of his price.

+1  ;D

im hoping for krak to be the reliable bench warmer for me during the byes throughout the season! once the other rookies are upgraded that is.

Can't make room for him to be honest, dids will come in when he bottoms out around 7/8.

Although if he is still scoring 100s after 11 I'll look to bring him in, yea I'll miss the price hike but its a risk I'm willing to take. Besides, if he is still scoring tons he will be worth the money.

MM said Krakouer has only been sub/subbed off since it has been so long since playing at AFL level for him. (AFL is a lot more demanding than WAFL still).

Therefore now that Krakouer has got a bit of a run, that sub business should be over for him.
I believe Krakouer should average 90+ this season, yes he has been a spud in the past, but when he gets his bursts in the midfield he RACKS them up, faster than swan iirc.

I think Krakouer > Dids will be a waste of a trade once Krak starts getting more on TOG (which he will from now IMO).

Krakouer for forward line keeper imo.

only time will tell, but i'm thinking along the same lines. he'll keep.

Really hope picking Dawesy from the start pays off. I don't want him to turn into an avg of 80 by end of season eeeeeeeeeeek.

i'm hoping putting $5 dawes for the coleman at $67 pays off.

chaser

i remember he started awesome last yr. slowed down considerably. food for thought

Master Q

It'll take many more good performances from Dawes for him to get into my team.
