Im getting rid of cameron bruce and maybe nathan foley.

Option A
I can get enright and libba or ward.

Option B
or i can trade bruce down to stanley or tape or smith. which means lower will proabably be starting and get any midfielder.

Bluke

Option C) Foley -> Libba

Keep Bruce, he is just getting to know his new teammates.

watty

Definitely B, Bruce will be about as consistent as his own hairline this season and Foley only scored 25 first week because of the flu and being subbed, stick with him. Whatever you do don't get tape though, he will have alot of run with roles during the season there are plenty better cheap def options other than him

Option C. Bluke is correct

why get rid of bruce? showed some good signs in second half last week,

david.5

I was a little scared off by the adeliade game. He played in the back pocket and in a really negative role. Last week was a high scoring game for hawthorn so i'm still a lil iffy. i agree with watty i just have a gut feeling hes gunna be inconsistent this year due to the fact hes getting less midfield time

Bluke

Your call David, at the end of the day you should go with your gut. I think Bruce should avg 85+ ppg so he might suffer a slight drop in price but should still be servicable. Remember that Hawthorn play an attacking brand of football and Bruce could take over Hodges role somewhat, launching the attacks out of defence, leaving Hodge to push further forward.

Bruce really compliments the Hawks IMO, they've made two really good pickups in him and Hale.

i'm someone who took a punt on bruce.
my reasons being; the draw, the thought that the hawks will go pretty far this year and the fact they already have a couple of key position defenders in gibson and gilham.
this meaning that bruce would play the sweeper role and hopefully rack up the kicks.
the only issue i thought of was its his first year at a new club and age, though consistanty wasn't a problem in his past.
but what sold the deal was i read on their website he was tearing up the track in the preseason.
in hindsight i would have gone for lids instead of bruce, but the richmond draw was a shocker and i thought he'd struggle.
anyway to end rant i'll be keeping ol' brucey and using trades else where, goodbye foley and yarren.

Boomz

First half last week & he was gone but the 2nd half saved him for me... I woud keep him for now.

boo-yaa

that was the story for most hawks hey mate? 3rd quater they kicked arse?

i didn't watch the game, did bruce look alright with the ball in hand or a bit shaky?

david.5

so far it looks like i made the right move of getting rid of bruce. but unfortunatley i chose danny stanley :(. hope stanley doesnt get dropped. hes a horrible player.

Windigo

I'm keeping Bruce to the bitter end if I must....
