I'm expecting a fair bit of flak for this but I'm comtemplating three trades!  The reaosnf ro these trades is to add a touch of unique to the team.

What are your thoughts?

- N. Riewoldt to T.Cloke
- Franklin to Chapman
- Clark to Cox/McEvoy

I've been just under 2200 each week so far but lost my league match last week and feel there is not much point playing it safe!  where is the strategy and fun in that?

Clarke to Cox might be worth it, but would hardly be unique.

Top teams almost certainly have Roo and Buddy, for a very good reason. Using 2 trades to remove them seems unlikely to gain you very much, other than a shortage of trades later in the season.

Finding some other way to recruit your uniques without removing your stars might be a greater challenge to your strategic ability. It could take longer, but good strategy is about achieving long term goals.

Good luck, whatever you do, but saving trades now will give you more options later in the season. What will you do for fun when all your trades are gone?

the stratergy and fun is when you win your league based on good trades,

so you are going to trade a player worth 391k who has scored 78 & 90 and has a past history of 95ish + for 5 years to a  354 k player who scored 84 & 97 against less the quality opposition also history best of 85 and that was last year

40 k gain for 6.5 points extra per round thats a pretty average trade

franklin to chappy not also a big upgrade which isnt really worth it unless chappy starts smashing 115 plus

clarke to cox probably isnt that bad should of got cox straight up.

just under 2200 points isnt bad by any means but these trades arent really going to help that much IMO

I would go the clark to cox... the other two are just moronic...

Travis Cloke is not only a terrible person but a terrible DTer!
If ur gonna even consider these trades why wouldn't u get Dawes in
I think Cox is a must

im not sure if your joking or not, but if your serious how are you averaging just under 2200 when im under 2100.

shocking shocking trades, your using a trade to make your team worse. If you want to go uniquie than do something like use your first upgrade in round 7 to a guy like Mitchell, Murphy or Boomer Harvey.

Roo and Buddy will come good, the week you drop them, the week they score big

Or he just copy and pasted the top sides from this forum verbatim yet forgot that it wouldn't help much because he can't make decisions on his own :P All of the top 7 teams in my league are virtually identical. I got some help from this forum for my team too (mostly with youngster's, as I'm not in Australia at the moment and wasn't for pre-season), but I couldn't believe how similar everyone's teams were... having said that though, it's strange he went for a semi-unique like Clark, instead of Cox which bloody everyone picked... so maybe I am completely wrong and just being a troll/jealous because I'm 0-2 to teams like his? :P

If you are averaging 2200, or close to, you'd be in the hunt for the car atm.  Why shoot yourself in the foot.

Ryder is a possible (more unique?) alternative to Cox

Ziplock

but.. cox is better than ryder... and cheaper. And doesn't have a bye in the finals :P
