Yeah, don't like the sideways trade on rookies. Gotta be downgrading to make cash on both the trade and the price rise or upgrading to a gun to make a trade worth it. Followed that strategy each year and I haven't missed a GF in any of my leagues. I ain't got Curnow or Libba and I'm stickin' with Atley and Bewick.

i have atley and im dropping him for cunrow, i did  a simular thing last year and won my league and finsihed just outside the top 500

I disagree with your premise completely Footygod.

This game is about trading, trading corrects mistakes, trading makes money, trading fills holes.

Take Hibberd -> Libba.

Hibberd wasnt named rd 1, wasn’t named rd 2 and if he isn’t named rd 3, could be considered a mistake because he isn’t making money (the job of cows) and leaves a hole in the midfield. Thus, it would be wise to make a trade to rookie, like libba or curnow, who will make money, will score points and will fill a hole.

What happens in rd 10 if Hibberd still isnt named and yet he is still on your bench, and now there are no cheap rookies to bring in, and even worse Curnow is worth 340k and avg 85 ppg.

Or you opponent has long since culled libba and made a tidy profit of 150k, which they have then used to upgrade Swallow to Pendlebury.

That is not losing Footygod, that is competing, something you have to do to win. If you sit back and watch your team, the holes you fail to plug will grow and fester, creating larger problems down the track.
