Essendon faces the next test in St Kilda which have said they will come out fuming this week

Schneider is coming in.

this next 3 weeks will show where Essendon is in the teams this year.



St.Kilda vow to come out and toughen up.

Essendon though should welcome back David Hille and Angus Monfries which will probably make it the best 22

but Stuart Crameri is out.

these 3 weeks is what makes or breaks a club and if we can win 2 of them then we have a reasonably easy 5 then a rest and set's us up for the next half well.

Don't be so confident, this is a very similar team (minus Lenny) that went to a GF last year. They are extremely angry after they have come away with a loss and a draw where they feel they should be 2 wins.
We should be very wary.

Agree with Alex... It's about time we lost to them too :-X Having said that the saints have looked far from their best in the first few rounds & I doubt they will turn it around in a week.

Don't be surprised if the Saints surprise us this week. Hilly, we have to start being realistic here, and stop everyone from getting too far ahead... There is a long way to go.

I know I am Mr. Sceptical with the appointment of Hird, but we still have a young list. Stop putting too much expectation on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm not expecting us to make finals, a top 10 finish for us and i'll be happy.

but success will come if we play well/win the big games, that is what Hird will be looking for, i am saying a contest in these next 3 weeks would be critical to the future.

we have the edge on saints and carlton but that is all in the past.

i know that it's round 3 and all and Essendon's wins have been by 50+ points.

yeah yeah not getting to far ahead of myself.


BUT, have a look at the teams we have beaten.

WB - They were fancied at the start of the year as a premiership contender and we win by 55 points

St.K - 3 Grand Finals in 2 years and were probably favorites to play in the Grand Final against Collingwood, 52 points.


this isn't much but beating 2 out of last years top 4 by a total of 107 points has got to show something?


people think yeah it's round 3 but is anyone thinking something else?


i am still not expecting to make finals this year, 9th or 10th still.
