Does anybody know what warrants a ban from the brownlow?

Do you have to miss a mtach or can a reprimand make a player ineliegible? eg. Adam Goodes tripping offence this round?

If they get suspended for 1 or more games, they are ineligble I'm pretty sure. A reprimand still sees them in the running for The Charlie as remember last year it came up.

Technically you can get suspended for 1 week and still be eligible, you can also not get suspended and become ineligible. Remember, for every 100 points you get 1 week suspension at tribunal.

With the points system for the tribunal, if you get over 100 points for an offence you can't win the brownlow. So a player may get 120 points. He can't win the Brownlow. But he can plead guilty, get a 25% discount, that takes him under 100 points, so he misses a suspension. In this case, he doesn't get suspended, but can't win the Brownlow.


OR, you can get 50 points at the tribunal. Meaning you can still win the Brownlow. But you may have 60 points carryover, and since 60+50=110, you get suspended for a week. Here, a player has been suspended, but can still win the Brownlow.
