Hibberd!!!???

I was wondering if ppl who have with Hibberd in their teams are considering trading him out for a midfield rookie ie curnow/libba
or keeping him to utilise DPP

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions?

if he fails to get named, again, I'm going to be seriously considering trading him out to libba.

+1 with camerari out this week.. (from memory) a high chance he could be named. I have him and will keep him, unless he isnt name this week. only thing is who for?

I have boyd in the middle and may have to play swallow/harris and have boyd/libba on the bench...

David Myers, a running defender/midfielder is out for a month with a wrist fracture. Perfect oppurtunity for Hibberd to take his place in my opinion. These 2 are very similar players. So definently don't trade him out before you see Essendon's squad for Sunday's game against the Saints.

hibberd looked good in the pre season and shouldn't be far off.

dpp and injurys make me wanna keep him for after the byes

whats the point trading him out. Unless you really screwed up and have zero bench cover. The kid will play, and i'd bet you'd end up trading him back in at some point.. Two trades for one player, doesn't seem worth it to me.

agreed. there has been rumours of injury going around in the last two weeks but i havent seen anything on official on the bombers website.

has he been playing VFL?

Been umm'ing and err'ing about this, but for me, I'm going to spend this week fixing a couple of mistakes in my team. I think The DPP link is a bit more useful to me at the moment, and it sounds like he might play sooner rather than later.

A coach with a half decent team shouldn't be worrying about their 3rd bench spot in the 2nd round....

If he does get named would you start him straight up? Or will you bench him for the week to see how he performs??
