To remove Swallow?

He scored 58 this week and didnt look to flash, just first game nerves or do we think this is gonna be a regular occurance?
I am thinking trading him down to Curnow giving me an extra 64,100. is it worth it? will Curnow build up more cash in the long run for this trade to be worth it.

also i could use the extra cash to upgrade Kenndey from syd since that risk is yet to pay off

i posted a similar topic aswell.  I don't think its completely stupid hey.  Sure the suns will improve, but they are not going to be winning as much ball as I'd imagine carlton to.  Curnow has only versed richmond and the suns, this week will be his test against the pies. However, I have been very impressed, and I'd imagine his job security to be better than what people are saying.  He has been in their best players twice out of 2 rounds this year.  I'd see him getting a gig ahead of Armfield (who was subbed), Watson, White.  Carlton's injury list has Houlihan coming back in, and Kruezer.  I'd Imagine Hampson to get the boot for kruezer, and white/armfield/duigan to get the boot for houlian/bower when/if they return.

Curnow, wont get tagged in that midfield and with his build and athleticism, I would'nt be surprised if he continued to get around the 26 touches 5 marks and a goal he scored last week.  He also finsihed ahead of sSwallow in the VFL B&F after injuring his leg round 13 (and remainded out for the rest of season I believe, correct me if im wrong).

Anyway, I'm seriously considering this, as much I hate to

keep him, he'll plough out a few 80s when required, and when he does  curnow will be playing seconds

Yes a bit haha.  But to think, you earn 60k by droping him, and earn 60 k more if they average the same at the end of year..  if they both play 8 games for me they'd have done their job. 

just a thought, Im not close to even touching the trigger.

if swallow avgs 60, and whoever you trade to avgs close to 80, then it's a 20 pt difference + like 60k, so if swallow continues to underperform, and these rookies over perform you gain 20pts per game (if you're fielding them) as well as 130 000.

that'd make it a worth while trade :P

i think swallow did really well... not sure if anyone watched the game but he was playing vs judd all good... blood good effort imo, especially since they got smashed!

People say just wait dont trade, but prices go up for curnow this week meaning if i want to do this trade it needs to be this week. its not like i can wait and see for Swallows next game

yes a quick 60k - but not sure if their weekly average score is going to be much different after another 4-5 games...

suspecty Curnow will have more overall points in the bank by then simply because of his great start - so yes, time is right now if you are going to do it.

but I wouldn't.....and won't......$60k short term not enough benefit IMO

Confident that Swallow will do the job I expected from him, and happy to keep him as solid bench cover all year at worst...and possible step to fallen premum at best..
