Trading a premium to another premium

I know what your initial reaction will be. Under no circumstance should this be done. But surely there is an exception to the rule.

For the most part I am happy with my team, but it has one major flaw. Yes, I was one of those nuffies that didnt pick swannie, and it's costing me points dearly. Im currently ranked 2749th, and i cant help but think i could much further up the rankings with swan in my team.

Now i only have 800 in the bank, and i havent made any trades thus far. But im thinking of the popular foley trade down too curnow/libba. With the cash made im thinking of trading...........

A.Swallow to Swan. Here is my reasoning.

1. I don't know that swallow will make it to to the top midfielders in the comp, which ideally you want in your team.  At the rate swanny is continuing this year, he looks like retaining number 1 spot.

2. Safety in a lock-in captain

3. If i decide to do this trade it has to be this week. Swallow has the bye this week... so i will be without him. If I buy swan the following week for Swallow, I have just bought an extra bye.

4. I would have netted way more points if i had done this trade last week. Swallow had a low scored 77, swanny 162. Theres 85 pts. I would have captained Boydy instead of swan, and gained another 42 pts there. Thats an extra 127!! I wouldn't expect this every week, but to know that is potentially the return i can get... wow.

5. If my team had started with out swallow and with swannie, I wouldn't have foley's 24pts (unfortunate but you get that), and probably would have played bewick. So thats a net of 44pts. Swallow scored 114 and swannie scored 137, for an extra 23 pts, totaling at 67pts netted for round 1.


So I really think this trade is worth it

I don't normally trade premium to premium either but I made the same mistake as you by not picking Swan. I will be trading Foley to Curnow as I already have Liber and J.Selwood to Swan.

swallow still imo will be one of the top 10 mids at the end of the year but i really cant fault ure logic. i think it was a really poor decision not to have swan at the start :P however now that u have gone with that i think u have to fix your mistake asap and get him in. im also gna drop foley this week to libba or curnow because foley already isn't going to make his B/E lol.. i would say this is a good trade for your team. it seems like u have thought about it a lot as well so imo u should do it. after teams r announced of course.

I would.  Swan is mandatory and he is playing better than last year, didn't think it was possible.

True. But dodgy trading out A.Swallow and Foley. Just to get Swan.

The mistake you made was not getting Swan from the start my friend.

if u want him you'll have to get him asap as i don't think his price will be coming down for a while
