I'm not someone to take trades lightly, but I'm seriously considering trading atley to either curnow or liberatore. What are experienced dream teamers thoughts? Yes or no and which one.

he will come good but to late for my team, the plan was to drop him at round 7 and guys like ward will be in better positions come that round.

Now I'm not normally someone who would take trades lightly as well but we have been given an extra 4 trades this season, even though there are only 2 extra rounds and teams still only play 22 games.

My thinking is that if you think that you have a player that is not scoring what you would've hoped for and want to swap for a similar priced player that is scoring like a premium, is on the bubble and think that they could become a keeper. Then I would say trade.

E.g last season Relton to Pods = good trade. Atley to Curnow/Liberatore = ?

Im thinking about bringing one of those two into my side as well. I dont think its burning a trade as you need to nail the good cashcows early and its only one trade.

Although Atley is playing and even with his low scores will still make you money (Stephen Hill a couple of years ago) you dont have an underpreforming Mid pricer or another non playing rookie that you could trade instead?

atley is definitely out of my team for curnow this week. atley has looked dismal n curnow is killing it. if nothing else the trade will make u an extra 80k probly.. plus i dno how long atley can keep a spot at this rate as well. i'm also thinking about trading foley to libba because foley already isnt gonna make his b/e.. therefore he is useless as a cash cow and clearly doesn't look like a keeper. i think there is nothing wrong with making a couple of trades before the first price rises. i think doing these two trades are gna help my team a lot at the end of the year and we do have an extra 4 trades to previous years.. but i rarely jump on a cash cow after they have had their first price rise.

I have both Liba and Atley, I will not trade Atley just yet and the reason being he will play his third game next week = cash. Having said that I know you are worried about Liba's price after round three, as he can and will most likely fatten up more than Atley after this 2nd round. IF and I state a big IF ...if you have cover for Atley do not trade. I am sure you chose wisely on ground in other areas when it comes to debut at senior level. Hang in there till after round three to see the heavy weight rookies then trade accordingly. Remember rounds 4-6 are three team byes.

This is where you will need your trades.

but then you miss out on libba/curnows big initial price increase.. seeing as we are getting them in as cash cows more then cover atm ( especially in the mids since most teams should have harris as perma-cover) i think u really need to jump on before they make a big 60k+ price rise this week. also if u were to wait for atley's price rise after week 4 with his B/E compared to theirs, he still probly won't have as bigger rise in his first week as they do in their second week. you;re gna end up losing out on about 80k by waiting on atley IMO

May I remind you of round 4 byes? Bulldogs are one of them.

thornz23

ah true but what about curnow though? and even so, missing the first week price rise makes it a lot harder to sideways between the rookies. i think curnow's b/e is about 90 less than atleys so if they score the same he will probly go up 40k more than atley. then u have to find that 40k to make the trade.

c-hawk

do it, Libba vs Goldcoast this week. Another big score and he will jump high in price. May peak at the right time to trade him for when Wallis gets a game. Unless they ease him in against the GC this week

elephants

Foley -> curnow

Astbury -> enright

Nuff said.
