Have you ever had to get a relative to change your team for you? If so how did it turn out? Good ? Bad? Or otherwise?

Here's my story that happened tonight..

I had put Chris Knights on the bench earlier this week for Matera, but put him back on the field in case Matera wasn't named and was going to sub knights off later that week. I had Matera emg anyway. I had to leave for work tonight ~5:30 and I had TAFE until ~4:15, therefore not giving me much time to check everything.

I went to work after checking my team thinking all was good, my job involves me driving a lot and I was driving around town and listening to the pre-game coverage on the radio... at 7:28pm they brought up Adelaide's bye and I'm like OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIII Knights is on my field, I pull over, quickly chuck $30 of credit on my phone thinking CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP...

I quickly ring mum up at about 7:29 I'm like quick mum I have 10 minutes and I need you to fix my dreamteam!!!!

Her laptop is slow and took her a few minutes to get to the site once she got there I gave her my pw and the disaster followed.

I had my 3 emg set so Knights was covered anyway... I'm like can you press clear emergencies because I knew she'd get confused removing my emergencies one by one which Knights would have become an emergency and she's like I don't think it did anything so I made her press it once or twice more, so anyway It took a minute or two to swap Knights off for Matera and

and I then had a full 22 on the field. I then asked mum do any bench players have anything behind their name on the bottom third of my team, she said "no" I'm like their should be a big e there, and she's like there's only a little one with an s and a t and a c/vc...

Anyway, cutting to the chase, by the time she worked out to emg players with everything taking so long, LOCKOUT beat her!!!

I now ended up with zero emergencies but a full 22, vs 21 on field and 3 emergencies...

Getting your mum to fix up your DT for you... FTL I just have to pray I suffer no late withdrawals.

Sorry, wall of text I know and MOST people won't read it, I just wanted to get all of it/my anger out.

tl;dr got my mum to change my team for knights, ended up worse off than when I started now with no emg. FMDT.

yea thats why i taught my missus how to do it all she use to get a text something to the effect of

" hey hun check the footy teams and adjust my team accordingly dont swap anyone on the field for anyone off the field if they are named"

a few text back and forward and my team was nearly always all good

she learnt way more stuff about footy then she wanted to know.

It could have been a lot worse like ^^^ ;D.

At least you've got 22 on field and hopefully they all play ;). Better than not getting on in time for Selwood's withdrawal :(.

*Peace Out Pplz.

Kudos to ya mum for wanting to help I reckon!! The unfortunate stories are those that involve your account being hacked in to and your team being changed, or you leaving your team open on your page while your away from the computer and someone changing it on you!

She wants a favour from me on Thursday so it all evens out haha.

I'm just praying for no late withdrawals. :)

Started out 485/6 last night and from other teams I'm playing against seems to be a par score or just above par, considering 2 of my lesser players played

i.e. Vickery and Foley.

when you're asking for a favour, you should not be allowed to b*tch about it if it don't work out for you!  ;)

i think the responsibility lies here ...

"I was driving around town and listening to the pre-game coverage on the radio... at 7:28pm they brought up Adelaide's bye and I'm like OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIII Knights is on my field ..." - sorry nails, harsh but fair!   :D   ;)

lol dude, I'm sorry, but most people would be pretty pissed off, it's justified to be feeling a bit cut in that situation.

like, it's not as though he was blaming her or anything :P

Driving around town doing deliveries as part of my job :P

If I had the option I'd never leave the home on the day of lock out :)
