i know the response i will get from people, and ive given the advice to rarely ever trade in 1st two rounds, but surely, the utility that ill get from trading dixon to tapscott is worth the 1 trade.

1. dixon averaged 57 in the vfl last year, which will probably stay the same when u factor in better quality of midfielders feeding it to him, and conversely better opposition teams.

2. tapscott was clearly up to afl level, has an afl ready body, will average more than dixon without a doubt.

What do you think?

Without a doubt????

Lol. They're both rookies, Tapscott had one good game. Who knows what Dixon could do, he has better players playing with him, in the forms of Ablett, Riskytelly and others.

Therefore will get better ball delivery in the forward line and could increase his average not stay the same as you seem to think IMO.

Tapscott isn't guaranteed to score great, he had one good game, he could pump out a 30 this week. Rookies get tired and aren't known for great consistency. I don't think the trade is worth it, especially on one game.

Waste of a trade, you're not getting any money and the points difference could be bugger all.

Unless Dixon does a Relton and Tapscott does a Podsiadly, waste of a trade IMO. Too sideways and both players will probably avg a similar amount during the season.
