Would a top 8 finish mean much for the bombers?

West Coast is our bogey team. Expecting a loss there.
We also struggled with tigers last time. However a win to GC is certain and same with Brisbane.
Id be happy with 3 from 4.

We have lost to Brisbane the last few times. Bradshaw and Brown usually kill us but we won't be facing either luckily. Hopefully a win there. We have all seen what happens if you underestimate GC :P

I reckon you guys have a terrific team, and they want to play well for their coach, which is important. If you don't finish top 4, I would consider this season a waste, like Carlton have the last few years.

That's a bit unrealistic bunyip, we finished in the bottom 4 last year. I think a good aim after the past 5 rounds now is to finish top 8.

Top 4 is a bit too high to aim for considering there are a few youngsters in the squad. It's a long season.

Freo, Geelong, Doggies and GC :P Sydney probably, and maybe Carlton. All have been up there for the last few years and are better top 4 chances than us.

Just because we beat them doesn't mean we will be better then them over 22 matches...R24 bye doesn't help either.

Even if we make the finals easily the bye won't neccessarily help... The reason why most clubs don't rest players in the last rd is because it's good to have match fitness going into the finals...

2-1-2 is fantastic for the opening to the season. most critics said it would ruin our season and leave us 1-0-4 or thereabouts. We are better then sydney and carlton and St. Kilda and at the moment the Bulldogs. Top 6 would be the only pass for me after these 5 rounds. We should win every game up to our bye. GC, WCE, Rich, Bris are all pushovers at the moment, maybe not WCE. We should be 6-1-2 at the bye

Agree. It's easy to drop games you feel you should win, but every now and then you get an unexpected win. If you guys play up to your ability you can win every game up to round 12. That's against Freo in WA and will be hard. But I think you SHOULD win every game up to then.
