Hey guys, newbie to these forums, just thought id start a thread where we can share [and of course brag about  :P] some wagers we have, if you guys have any at all. Doesnt have to be on the footy, can be anything at all! Ill get the ball rolling, this year i decided to pick 4 games from every AFL round and pick the margins, putting them into a multi bet. Im not exactly rich so i only throw $5 on. This week ive gone St Kilda 20-39, Collingwood 40-59, Port 1-19 and Carlton 40-59 @ $323 for a collect of $1615.

Am i in with a shot!?  :-\

I have done it in the past. Whenever I do it I usually post them under the heading "Absurd Multibet Theater" :P

Good luck...Your chances of this collect is 323/1

i dont see why u cant have a chance to win that bet as they look like likely margins

Okay I'll see what I can conjure up here. Bear in mind this is only a suggestion. I'm not saying anyone go out and do it but I'm doing this to show how easily the "Absurd Multibet Theater" can start

St Kilda v Richmond: Saints looked far from impressive. Tiges looked good before fading. I don't really like a lot of the high priced options here considering the Saints haven't proven anything yet. Richmond on the Line getting 26.5 at $1.90 seems the best of a questionable bunch. Could be open to Saints 40-59 too.

North-Collingwood: Well Collingwood should win but North always get up when you least expect them to. I'll try and add some value by taking Collingwood 20-39 at $4.00

Port-WCE: Young team doesn't usually travel well but at the same time you can't exactly trust the Power. Again the line is the best way. I'll take the Power giving 13.5 at $1.90

GCS-Carlton: First game for the new team could force a surprise, but I doubt it. Carlton over 39.5 at $2.60 looks just fine for me to lock in thanks Eddie.

Freo-Geelong: Probably the toughest match to pick at this stage. If Selwood plays, Geelong are a chance if he doesn't, forget it. Again the line probably looks the safest bet here. Freo giving a negligible 5.5 @ $1.90

Western Bulldogs-Brisbane: A Bulldogs side out for blood against a Brisbane side decimated by injuries. This is not going to be pretty. Bulldogs over 60 @ $3.00

Sydney-Essendon: After the first round this game suddenly takes a whole different interest. In the end though it's more a case of "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't". I'll take Sydney under 39.5 @ $2.40

Hawthorn-Melbourne: Melbourne looks a much improved side. Hawthorn is still a top side. Again it's probably best to go safety first here. Hawthorn giving 16.5 @ $1.90

Odds: $975.84
Payout (For $5): $4879.20

:o
Even 1 win would make the season worth it, otherwise it is $120 gone :P

Last year I placed a multi on predicting all 8 winners for the weekend in round 9.
I predicted
Geelong over Collingwood
Bulldogs over Kangas
Freo over Sydney (in Sydney)
Melbourne over Port Adelaide
Essendon over Richmond
Adelaide over Brisbane (Adelaide had only won 1 game so far)
Carlton over Hawthorn
St Kilda over West Coast (in Perth)

This was paying out at 70 odd dollars so chucked on $10 in the hope of winning 700. Got every game right except for the Carlton Hawthorn game, which I couldn't believe since that was the game I was most sure I would get right!! Carlton had been playing pretty well up to that point and Hawthorn had lost 6 of their past 7 matches. I was so pissed off at how badly Carlton played that day >:( >:( >:(

It's a matter of finding what you think is the value. Even playing the line on all 8 games will net you $850 for a $5 bet if you win

Gawwwnnn after the 1st game of the round...always disappointing  >:(

roo boys!

Funny, I have $20 I was planning on putting on one of the games, was going to pick North Melbourne to win over Pies ;) but now I think I may do one of these multi's! How exactly
do you put that bet on though BP? :P

CrowsFan

Are you even old enough to bet RB? :P

The easiest way is using one of the EBT machines they have in the outlets and changing the bet option to Multi but they have slips too. Just means you have to find every code

Or have an online TAB account, no need to leave ur living room then  ;)
