All I can say is that I would shy away from any of the Carlton options as I think that if GC is getting hammered and the sub is able to be voluntarily used (not forced like we saw a lot of in rd one) then one of them is a good chance to be subbed probably during the 3rd quarter or at 3/4 time. I think that Swan is the safest bet but that's probably obvious.

Swan - After scoring 165 he looks like his started the season where he left off last year, should dominate againts north can't see who will tag him so he should have a field day at least 120+ on a bad day. Also everyone will be picking swan so its a safe bet even if he does badly.

Riewoldt - I'm a saints supporter and from what im seeing from the saints things don't look good. Forward structure is way off at the momment, won't be rebuilt untill Schinder and Kosi are back. Richmond don't have much down back but you'll see Ross Lyon force the saints midfielders to kick more goals maybe leaving Riewoldt dry i could be wrong. Seems risky pick to me as saints arn't playing very pretty football atm!!

Carlton boys may be a risk as they may get subbed off, but you know that only one can get subbed so if you choose right it might come off. Gibbs for me looked the pic of the bunch, never gets an opponent and is deadly with foot. I can see him scoring 110 to 130+ may be risky though as he already has pulled a big score this year.

Franklin - too risky!!! as you said can't kick straight and gives away to many FA!! pass on buddy.

Ryder/Watson looked great but don't get carryed away yet, as bulldogs play a fast high scroing game style which allowed them to score big. Sydeny are much more deffensive then bulldogs and will tag watson. Also sydney rucks e.g the MUMMY are very good and will compete better then hudson from the bulldogs.

Hope all this helps i know it's a boring pick but SWAN is a no brainer.

Cheers Mate

fever

cant see gibbs being subbed barring injury/precaution. flip a coin between him and swan for me.

Maca24

Go Swan or Sandi.
If you really want to take a risk I'd go Buddy. No Frawley so could turn it on.

vc_bombers

How about Goddard? Scored 188 against tigers last year

stewfoss

ill be picking gibbs or swan.
i think if anyone's gonna be subbed off from carlton, it'll be judd.

obviously have a look at the teams when they're out though. as soon as i heard of north melbournes ruck business (after lockout, unfortunately) i knew cox would destroy the pill
Perhaps there will be a similar position in another team this weekend

MajorLazer

Goddard or maybe Pendles.

Samm79

for mine there are two options, I need a super premium v a bottom 10 team, Goddard v Richmond or Swan v Roos. Leaning towards Goddard, the forgotten captain!

diddley

swan. this years perma captain frontrunner at the moment.

roo boys!

Has to be Swan.

He is probably going to cop a tag from Rawlings, but still, i'm not doubting him after last week.

PICCOLLO

Not sure how Gold coast will manage against Judd and Gibbs but most players take the foot off the pedal when they are smashing teams.
Goddard is awesome and Swan is the go to guy.  Swan and Collingwood are travelling the better so you'd have to pick him.  You'd kick yourself if he gets another 150+ and you picked Gibbs.

Bruizer81

Swan for me North coming off a loss on the west in 35+ degrees Has to be some tired legs in there Rawlings can't go with swan Goddard for 'uniqueness' Can you believe it

charliesheen

set goddard as captain today, wish me luck~

bomberboy0618
