Don't think roo will be done in 5 years tbh.
Its not a 5 year time frame.

I'm ready if BOOMZ is ready. My pick is sorted.

Is this for the next 5 years or so? Can keep my strategy if it's like that and not for now.
next 5 years. basically. But yea, can still pick older players if u want as the criteria is most premierships for aslong as possible.
You did say this though maca...
I will get my pick up soonish

Maca24

cant find the quote but im sure I said somewhere the main idea is as many premierships as possible for aslong as possible, with no set timeframe. But roughly the next 5-10 years as a guideline cas ppl wanted a timeframe.

Ok finally decided who I am going to pick. I will take the Sherminator, Justin Sherman. Going to play him on the half forward flank to utilise his speed and great goal kicking ability. Only 24 so plenty of years ahead of him :)

Dynasty:
1. A succession of rulers from the same family or line.
2. A family or group that maintains power for several generations...

Thankyou Marcz :)
Timeframes dont apply. In the NBA dynasty there was no timeframe.

Andrew3737

A dynasty can also have a time frame, which was quoted.

whatever. 5 years if thats what you all want. I couldnt give a flower.

Andrew3737

It doesn't apply to me, but it is a hell of a lot easier to judge and decide if it does have a time frame.

maybe. I think people can identify teams with a good mix of rising stars and older guns.

if u look at the way the majority have picked they r clearly leaning toward 10 years more so than 5, David Swallow Zach Smith and Charlie Dixon have been selected ahead of players that r better now and have 5 years in them still...

my team is selected the way it would regardless so im not fussed most my guys r 22-25 besides Roo and Judd

yea well I dont think timeframes a factor. Zac Smith is a great pick in my eyes as he will be big!

Andrew3737

NBA is a lot easier, due to the easy nature of having only 5 starters and knowing that without competing, you are rebuilding through the draft.

AFL is a lot different. You have 22 on the field you could have 1/2 elite player(s) and still be fighting out of the wooden spoon. The rebuilding take 5>10 years instead of 2-3 for NBA as well.

He's already BIG :P. Considering Sandi, Cox, Ryder and Kruez were already chosen, Smith has already shown he's adapted well and will certainly become a top 5 ruckman in a season or two, just you wait 8). Dixon was only there as I couldn't think of another FF who I actually liked within the 22-27 range. If you deliver it into him, he's quite the player ;). But I see your point.

5 seasons isn't really a Dynasty as we could get maybe 2-4 winners over the time. I'd go more for 8 as there is more chance for the younger sides to challenge but that's just me :P.
