CFC 1979

Just heard brown dog looking at 8 weeks out

nathan11

yep out for 6-8, good upgrade target :)

roo boys!

Yeah 6-8, so that's one trade gone already :(

korza

Browndog is such a great player, to see that was not good. Unlike Riewoldt or Lyon did not cry. He has a heart bigger than phar laps.

Sharker18

the guy has his faced smash in and people are happy about it so they can make a supercoach trade later in the season?

what is the world coming too?

He's a god dam legend.
Remember at the start of last year they were saying he might just be the greatest forward of all time. Then he had rotten luck with injury (plus that gimp Fevola no doubt giving him the sh1ts).
For him to get back into it by round 1 was pure dedication to his team. For him to be injured in the way he was (ie, not tissue related/sport injury) is devastating. He must be so bloody pi55ed off.
Can't wait to see him still positive and smiling through his battered face. At least with the injury he has, he can start working on his strength and fittness well prior to his return, so he'll be back on fire first game back, hungrier than ever to restore his Lions pride.

For the record, of course I have him ;) I'm really annoyed I have to let him go. Not because its an early trade, but because he's Browny.

dylsta05

a superstar, brisbane will miss him, luckly i did not have him

Big_Cox14

I'm confident Browny will be back bigger and stronger than ever.

Just watched 3 different replay angles on the news.
Luke McPharlin, your nothing but a dirty mongrel.
Next time, learn how to pull yourself out of the way when you know your not going to have any defensive impact on a marking contest. Don't just continue to run right through the path of a falling player who has just beat your useless ass. Perhaps you could have jumped over Brownys head, rather than have your knee go right through it.

I hope he's back by round 10 for the Crows at AAMI.

Slashers

RIGHT! I can't let this go, its playing on my mind.
Watched the replay a couple more times.. and god dam it... does anyone else think that Luke PcPharlin was ever in the contest and that it should have been looked at by the AFL?
I swear, he made no attemt NOT to knee him in the head, and also looks a bit like he lent into it.
Dont believe me, watch this replay and tell me otherwise.

"Brown has seen vision of the incident, but disagreed with critics who claimed McPharlin could easily have avoided him."

I don't!

bluedreamin

If you seriously think McPharlin would risk a season-ending injury by purposefully ramming his knee into someone's head you are delusional.

Slashers

Call me delusional, but lets just assume the 'critics' are it a better position to make these claims than I am.
I think purposefully, the critics probably just think he could have avoided it.
Besides, I don't think he thought too much about the consequences on him.
I've been in similar situations many times before, and rather than go right through like a freight train, especially when its obvious that a player is falling to within the visinity of my knee or foot, I have had to jump over the player for his (and my) own protection. It was always a natural reaction, rather than a decision I made.

C'mon buddy, It's my opinion.
