I think its something you should really consider, as it will facilitate all your upgrades to complete your squad, and saves you from making some speculative rookie decisions as well.

Don't think of it as a sideways trade, but more of as a short term 'loan', which will effectively cost you 2.5 trades.  1 for the loan, and the 2.5 for when you bring Sandilands back into the side at a reduced price, as he will be coming back from a lay off.

ATM, Smith is already performing at near premium level.

So i will most likely go in around 30 mins

Stanley, Pittard ------------- Howard, Hodge

To give me a team of

Gibbs, H.Shaw, Adcock, Duffield, Gilbert, Heppell, Lower
(Howard(EMER), Otten, Deledio)

Swan, Boyd, Selwood, Goddard, Hodge, Iles
(Jacobs(EMER), Bewick, Cotchin)

Cox, Smith
(Moran, Sandilands)

Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, N.Riewoldt, Petrie, Yarran, Darling
(Mzungu(EMER), Richardson, J.Riewoldt)

Pretty confident, is listed as starting on a wing, Eade has conceded their season is over, he is now playing youth, better then imo the other options of pederson for example. As before not that keen on the sandi downgrade, CS  :-\

can you still get Hodge, if you off load otten instead?

Yeah actually, though one of him or Darling will make way in 2-3 weeks for Sylvia

Planned trades this week

Bewick -----------> I.Smith

However if Smith doesn't play

A.Otten, Cotchin -------------> Rookie, Ablett

imo, smith is very raw and more of a long term development project.  I really don't know how many games he will get this year, and don't expect him to provide much coverage.  You already have Mzungu for the MPP.

Even if Smith is named, I wouldn't think of bringing him in my team.  If I was in your position, Bewick/Richo are probably individuals I just leave in my team, because you don't really gain anything trading them out, unless you were absolutely forced to avoid a donut/whatever.

For Yarran, I think an upgrade of Sylvia/Brown would be good options when they bottom out.  Brown would almost be a direct swap if Yarran continues tonning it up.  The draw is very favourable so I see this happening.

Only reason i want Smith is for MPP, as i have no players of M/F in my mids but Goodes, Pav, Mzungu in my forwards

The reason I suggested the Tippet trade, was to avoid this situation all together - I know you are against this idea.  I have not been at all impressed with the rookies downgrades coming through.

Seeing, you don't want to do the Tippet scenario, I would just sit and hold on your trades, until someone like Callinan debuts (which is not far off), and then do the Yarran upgrade (which he should have increased price).

Sometimes you are better off just 'sitting'.  This will possibly mean your M6 being delayed.

I will need to look through things again myself, but If I see a rookie I like I'll post it a suggestion here if you like.

Yeah Cowan didnt do so well in his second game, Howe was pretty good, was planning on not trading after this week anyhow  ;D

howe is an interesting one, was averaging 15 disposals, 6 marks, 2 goals, 76 DT points, at VFL level before his debut.

If Thomas misses due to elbow MRP, and Swan is out to Arizona, maybe an upset where he can hold his spot!
