Game 1:

Players: Chris Yarran- Had a heavy tag on him, which very much lowered his scores. I don't blame Yarran as much but the Carlton team. Constantly while watchiong i saw Yarran outrun White and make runs past his team mates only for them to look at him and go the opposite way. Shouldnt get a Heavy tag against GC.

Brett Deledio- Scored well, if he had had a greater effect on the game it most likely would have been higher.

Trent Cotchin- Started slowly with only 13 points in the 1st half and 2 disposals if i am correct. However he turned the game on its head and when he got involved Richmond began to get competitive.

Bryce Gibbs- Ripping game good over most of the quarters, played well wherever he played.

Nick Duigan- Didn't get a heap of it early but got better as the game went on and came away with a par rookie score.

Bryce Gibbs (138), Trent Cotchin (116), Brett Deledio (92), Nick Duigan (59), Chris Yarran (32)

Thoughts on game 1: Was very close to including Curnow after hearing about how well he played last year, he was a ball magnet last year.

Game 2:

Players:

Joel Selwood- Well picking a tough nut this time didn't pay off. He looked like his usual self both scoring wise and player wise, looked in for a big night.

Nick Riewoldt- Nick was very impressive early but dropped off later in the game, to get a handy score for me.

Brendan Goddard- Another great game from him continuing his scoring from last year.

Joel Selwood(24), Nick Riewoldt(86), Brendan Goddard(119)

Thoughts on the game: Picked Harry Taylor last year but not this year ::)

MTTY

Game 3:

Players:

Dane Swan- Had him as captain his quarter 1 was amazing and set him up for that huge score.

Andrew Krakouer- Disappointed early btu when he moved into the midfield, his scores jumped.

Heath Shaw- Again an average game it seemed (just like Deledio) but scored well.

Robert Gray- Scored better in DT then he did in SC, had him in SC but not DT. The knock to his knee didnt help.

Jasper Pittard- Impressed with his game par score for a rookie.

Dane Swan(166/332), Andrew Krakouer(102), Heath Shaw(101), Robert Gray(68), Jasper Pittard(58)

Thoughts on the game: Glad i didn't choose Dids early. Should of got on Dawes, his preseason form was very impressive.

Your looking good MTTY. Gray was a nice unique and looked good during the game, Port being smashed by Collingwood effected his score. Look for him to rebound next week.

MTTY

Game 4:

Players:

Andy Otten- scored well very early but his scoring slowed throughout the game.

Lance Franklin- Well his kicing was off and at a lot of times had my heart in my mouth as i thought he was going to be reported.

Andy Otten(69), Lance Franklin(72)

Thoughts on the game: Now i am glad i didn't get Bruce, also am upset that i didn't get Dangerfield or Knights.

Cheers Barlow am at about an average score now so i should be around the top 25k hopefully.

Game 5:

Players:

Aaron Sandilands- All i can say is "i pity the fool" who didn't get him well worth his price tag.

Nick Lower- Well looks like he will make me a lot of cash very pleased with him.

Greg Broughton- Pretty good got a score that i expected.

Rohan Bewick- Another par rookie score although i was really impressed with him.

Aaron Sandilands(137), Nick Lower(110), Greg Broughton(98), Rohan Bewick(51)

Thoughts on the game: Pav was very impressive even though he had a tag on him.

MTTY

At the moment i am on:

1737 from 17 players with Dane Swan as a captain.

Players to play- Jack Grimes, Dyson Heppell, Dean Cox, Adam Goodes, Cameron Richardson

1. I will agree with Yarran, I have both but was considering Yarran --> Polkinghorne who will get minutes in the midfield this season, Danger was locked.
2. Don't panic Bewick will play more than Curnow
3. Selwood will come good don't worry.

I was thinking in the lines of Bewick vs Beams.  Beams absolutely killed it until he did his hips.   Looks very good.

Well Dangerfield.  Think of this way.  Half way mark, he only had 3 posessions.  he killed it during last half.  This is worrying that he is not getting cheap posessions.  I am just not convinced he is going to be able to churn out 90-100 consistently, with his style of play.  Especialy if he is not getting goals, his scores are going tobe much lower.

Bartel vs Selwood ... damn regretting this pretty hard.  bartel is cheap.  I think I am going to cut my losses with Selwood (misses Freo game?) and people seem to take awhile to get their feet after concussion.

Yarran --> think u should cut your losses here imo, not sure if dangerfield is going to be best option.  have a feeling yarran might be experiemented in diff possies during year.

Curnow --> Be great to see Brock and Curnow in same side, I think it will add more grunt.  doubt its going to happen.

My choices were

Darling/Tapscott vs McKeranan = I am pissed I took out McKernan, I have a feeling Neil craig is going to keep him in hte side longer than expected, even when tipppet comes back.

Is it just me

or Phil Davis --> looks like he is going to kill it this year with bock gone???

Alex7089

Yeh I think Phil Davis has stepped into Bock's role. Did it better last night IMO than the man himself.
