THE BIG GRIMES & CURNOW DECISIONS
* I'm trading both and would prefer to do it this week *

Options:
1) Jacobs & Pendlebury (leaves me with 200k)
2) Heath Shaw & Rischitelli (leaves me with 20k but facing a doughnut next week if BEWICK doesn't play)
3) Heath Shaw & Issac Smith (leaves me with 325k)

As you can see from my team I've got Swallow & McKernan peaking after this weekend, and I want a DEF/MID in defence to swap Heppell into defence. Issac Smith's dual position would be handy to get some of the talent in my choc-filled forward line into the midfield.

Any advice? 16 trades left 195k bank.

Thanks guys, but I've broaded my horizons, what about these options:

OPTION 1:
Grimes -> Rawlings
Curnow -> Mundy

OPTION 2:
Grimes -> Heath Shaw
Curnow -> Dal Santo OR Rischitelli

OPTION 3:
Grimes -> Suckling
Curnow -> Pendlebury

Again, waiting for selection night on that one... While I don't feel it's the best week to get Pendlebury (could still go down $20-30k taking a close look at b/e's), you wouldn't regret ever bringing him into your team this season. Unlike Mundy he's certain top 6 midfielder with a great run of fixtures after Geelong.

All these trades burn all my cash. Should I stick with:

Grimes -> B. Jacobs
Curnow -> Pendlebury

With around 200k left in the bank?

Depends on how unique u want to be? I like Rawlings and Mundy!! But can't go past Pendles... I would wait at least a week just to c how Jacobs goes

Andrew

Quite a few liking Rawlings & Mundy... I've only got Petrie as my other Roo missing that DT qualifying final bye... a part of me is telling me not to worry about it. But it could snowball as Enright/Selwood miss the semi-final. Hoping Heppell as cover for byes until the end will save me...

Andrew

Yep gone cold on copping the DT finals bye for Rawlings. Also gone cold on selling Curnow, I've got other midfielders to sell over the next 4 weeks and can carry him without even missing out on midfield emergency (also his b/e is 81?). So for me this week, it is:

OUT: Grimes
IN: Heath Shaw

Leaving me with $135k in the bank and 15 trades. Next week the likely trades is:

Stanley -> Jacobs and possible I.Smith for Swallow/Harris. But we'll see how the Gold Coast cash cows go this week!

PowerBug

I mght consider the same thing for next round. Stanley has done his job well and Harris might have his injury curse back.

Andrew

After a very interesting round, my trade plan for the next fortnight is:

McKernan -> Suckling
Curnow/Bewick -> Smith (if Bewick gets dropped I'll sell him copping 1 doughnut otherwise it's Curnow out avoiding a doughnut all together)

next week:

Lower/Toy -> Jacobs
Tapscott -> Lynch (Gold Coast)

I'd be down to 11 trades but very cashed up, estimated $300-350k in the bank and a finished backline. We'll see how things play out though.

With Smith being dropped, I'll just go McKernan -> Suckling this week. Will stick with next weeks' plan, for now. Means I'll only be down to 12 trades with Mzungu a likely inclusion the week after as he should be on the bubble.

Considering I'm playing the guy who's best in my league, should I do Curnow -> Mzungu?

Need to sell Curnow at some point, need to buy Mzungu at some point... may as well?

Last week I did:

McKernan -> Suckling
Curnow -> Mzungu

I've got 13 trades and $185k left. My team for this week is:

DEF: Goddard, Delideo, Enright, Adcock, Suckling, Heath Shaw, Lower (Stanley, Toy, Heppell)
MIDS: Swan, Boyd, Jelwood, Goodes, Gibbs, D. Swallow (Harris, Iles, Bewick)
RUCKS: Cox, Petrie (Sandi, McCauley)
FOR: Franklin, N. Riewoldt, Fyfe, Dawes, Knights, Darling, Matera (Tapscott, Mzungu, J.Tippett)

Andrew

How's this for a plan:

Toy -> Jacobs
Tapscott -> Chapman

Bringing in Evans next week.

Or should I do:

Toy -> Jacobs
Tapscott -> Lynch

Grabbing Chapman next week.

I've only got 13 trades so also thinking about holding Tapscott and maybe selling Darling for Chapman next week. Tapscott only listed as a 3 week injury and I can easily hold him in my forward line as a permanent bench keeper with Petrie coming back into forwards once Sandi is back.

PowerBug

If you trade off Tapscott then go to Smith should he get named. 30k less than Lynch.

No Smith this week, so it's either Lynch, Chapman, or holding on Tapscott. I'm thinking Darling or even Matera -> Chapman next week is a better upgrade for a man with 13 trades currently, but it's a tough call because I don't know how many forward downgrades there'll be after Lynch?

Andrew

Ended up doing...

Stanley -> Jacobs
Tapscott -> Chapman

I thought Stanley didn't have much more cash to gain so I cashed in on him instead of Toy. Now I have 11 trades left and 111k.
